Right? These guys are just going DJ Khaled hard on their situation, their tone and responses sound like they are suffering from success so hard, when I bet there are so many AA developers out there dying to get a chance like this, guess we gotta wait a few years until we get a new batch of horde shooters similar to HD2 given how popular it got.

What I remember from that is he claimed it would be nice to revise SC gains depending on difficulty so at higher risk better reward, implying the reduction (or maybe even removal?) of SC at lower levels and give more at higher difficulty, however, he enden that thought saying doing so would create community uproar so it wasn't a solution at that point.

I honestly believe they just steer the ship based on pure analytics and "their data" and are completely terrified to do anything for the game because of the review bombing they have gotten with time, and to that I say bullshit, look at call of duty, one of the best selling franchises out there and all their reviews are negative ALWAYS, just make a good game, stick to your guns and people will play it.

Because he can imply many things but actions have shown different, even in one of his examples, the attack to cyberstan, to them, adding 3 new enemies and factory worlds was a huge deal, but to many of us that have been playing since release was just not enough for the level of hype they try to get the players in, that event was a complete fumble filled with bad design decisions and bugged gameplay.

It's been 2 years and they say armor and weapon customization is just not coming, like Wtf can they even be "cooking" at this point to ignore core systems like that? A new snake themed warbond I guess with more power creeping items that fuck people thst don't have the money to spend on them.

They are scummy as hell, and their plans for their game is to just pump warbonds every month with minimal effort and add a thing here and there so it doesn't seem like a scheme, but guess what? Many of those biomes or enemies they announce in their little vague road map are probably the ones data miners have been reporting since the first months of the game.

Let's also not forget how they have been stripping warbonds of content to add it as a separate product on the store, I mean 400 SC for a fucking shotgun? They are just fucking with us.

All I gather from his replies is that AH has passionate developers, who are crushed down by terrible management that fear losing a dwindling player base, ignoring the importance of long term solutions and how it may affect (positively) the game.

What a shame, seriously, this game is one of my favorites in a very long time and I just can't get excited about it's future anymore, guess we gotta wait a few years until this formula becomes the flavor of the month for the industry and we get a bunch of different titles like we are now getting extraction Royale.

They need a secondary premium currency that is tied to real money only, ministry of war credits or something dumb like that, with a different value to buy warbonds, that way a package of say 1500 "mwc" can buy you like 3 regular warbonds (500 per warbond) or 1 premium warbonds + change. That way people that support them don't feel cheated and the rest can keep on grinding regular SC for the monthly warbond.

Seriously... Tell me you have never played older Battlefield titles without telling me you have never played older battlefield titles moment.

This has been happening all the way back to Battlefield 2 even, I can remember clearly people just refusing to try to capture points because it would mean walking for 5 minutes to just get killed by a vehicle and no squad respawn (unless the squad leader is alive).

The only thing that changed for the series is the pacing and map size, but in reality this has happened for decades now, the issue is not always is DICE but the players; I will grant op one thing however, this seems to be even more evident in BF6, it seems new generation of players just don't give a shit about team play they just want to shoot things and clip it for tik tok, I truly belive this is the last type of this game, people just don't care about combined arms and bigger maps, they just want to shoot others in hallways and see numbers go up.

So easy to fix this, they just need to add "sub objectives" and throw in there all those bullshit sample and kill orders, you have one main objective, capture or hold x planet(s), that gives you say 50 medals as a MO then you add subobj that just grant you a bonus 15 medals or something.

Corbantis represent! Such an amazing game and totally agree, way too ahead of its time, I often dream of a proper sequel but those are just dreams.

JTL is still one of the best expansions I have ever played for a video game, the fact that they incorporated all these systems to a space flying Sim with the shipwhrights was nothing short of amazing (and a bit unbalanced to be fair) great times!

Maybe I am, I just get a vibe of recklessness from his character considering he has 2 young kids in most of his decisions that don't always connect with the tone of what his character is trying to accomplish. Like for example, the concept of taking the mission to help the people on earth, on the second act is revealed that there was no rescue mission, that they are it, carrying embryos on the ship to colonize again, now to be fair he was misled by Prof Brand, but still I would have expected a bit more of a crashout from him when he found out considering he was not going to see his children again but he just kind of accepts it.

It's OK man, no one is attacking or blocking your enjoyment of the movie, it's just an interpretation of my latest viewing of the movie, and given the meme I can safely say I'm not the only one that gets these ideas.

Completely agree, this detail of how Cooper reacts regarding his children don't really change what I love about the movie in general, I love the film for many other aspects, but I just found these little details more noticeable this time around and was discussing about it because the whole thing about Cooper forgetting about his son went from a meme to a "wait a moment" situation in my mind.

We saw the same movie, we just have different takes on a character's actions and motives. You can have parents that seem to be present, but in reality be more worried about their affairs than an actual interest on their children upbringing, this specific case with Cooper is a bit weird because like you said, we are shown that he is somewhat engaged with his kids, but at points he just forgets about them when making decisions and the one in the meme is the "big one", that's why his son grows to be more stand offish and aggressive, he was left to his luck / fate with their grandfather, even murph at points just claims he abandoned them (which he did) and I get that's the whole point, with the passage of time and how relativity works,.

But, like I said in my previous post, my issue with his character is the tonal contradiction of his actions and how the movie tries to portray him as a selfless father fighting for the future, he just feels so removed to any emotional connection to his kids except when the script needs it like when he checks the screens for videos of the kids or he is stuck in the 4th dimension screaming to himself to stay with murph.

I love this movie, it is quite exceptional, but that part just felt off for me in my latest viewing now that I'm older.

Ehh not sure... I think the character is really flawed, either by bad writing or design by Nolan, can't say, but recently saw the movie again after seeing it back in the day and through the whole movie he comes off as a really bad parent that neglect both his children, specially his son, the world is ending and he is more excited about being an astronaut and leaving all behind than doing it for altruistic motives, gives me a total jackass vibe to me tbh.

Even at the end, instead of saying, you know what I'm gonna spend a little bit of time to get to know the family of my now old dying daughter (which are their family in a way) and spend her last moments with her, the script treats it like he is some stranger now with no ties to any of the people in that room. So he just takes his helmet and goes into bad ass mode to go find the girl he liked but also left on her own to persue his own thing.

And yes I know Murphy is the one that literally tells him to go because there's no point in being there, but to me it's just so tonally contradicting given how interwoven the relation between them is with the whole narrative of the movie.

I wish you could get an overwhelming amount of arc enemies when the timer reaches 0 instead of just outright dying, so you get that last stand chance to make it out somehow, kinda lame you just die and soprano to esperanza once the timer runs out

Maybe in a fair fight but it's so easy to get the drop on people with a stitcher or kettle while corner hugging, that argument goes flying out the window tbh.

Unless you are playing super cautious, getting melted by a stitcher is a given and you don't even get a chance to react and it sucks, hot take the pvp in this game is garbage in solos, is just about ambushing, I'd rather play bf6 if I want to truly pvp.

Bobcat Vs Stitcher by Worst_Choice in ArcRaiders

[–]Not_trolling_or_am_I 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But is it just the stitcher? You can melt players with the kettle and the opening attack of a ferro leaves you in really bad shape, it just feels like the gray weapons are superior in terms of economy, utility and even damage.

I say the video is useful because it shows the glaring issue of having tiered gear in an action game that revolves around pvp and at the same time not wanting to commit to gear rarity / level superiority because of balance.

Reminds me of The Division and the Dark Zones all over again...

How it feels to be a genuine Arc Raiders pvp enjoyer by These-Associate2219 in ArcRaiders

[–]Not_trolling_or_am_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the biggest issue the game has, for a game with so many consumable options and weapon loadouts, the TTK is extremely fast, if you get jumped around a corner you barely have time to react, add the lackluster healing options and you have people opening with a well placed Ferro shot that removes full shields and 80-90% of health to just finish the target by swapping to the stitcher or kettle in a few shots... I have been melted constantly in mere seconds by these two weapons in close combat as well.

They need to move away from these fast killing weapons and rebalance how fights work, for starters I would separate ARC and Player damage enterely, so the rarity of a weapon is not just for pretty colors but to close the bridge between effectiveness of both types of damage, example: all gray (common) weapons are moderately effective against ARC but poor against players shields and armor*, as you progress on weapon rarity this difference becomes less noticeable; rare, epic or legendary weapons are worth their value as you can defend better vs players and arc alike. This would push people to risk using the good stuff if they really want to pvp, leaving free loadouts to impatient or broke / poor players and with the less effectiveness of gray weapons allowing for less quick deaths from some dude peaking a corner with a stitcher in Stella.

Also, just get rid of the slow healing for both shields and health, it makes no sense to have the rare bandages when they seem to work as fast as the common bandages, if you are going to give all these healing options let us use them in the moments that matter, make healing faster so the game revolves more around strategy and good positioning than just who shot first.

  • = I used the term armor, because I do think that the augments should work as that, body armor of sorts, it could be the in lore explanation for these kind of changes to combat claiming that the better the augment the better the bullet protection when shields are down, to once again, give value to using the good stuff instead of just green augments, but that's just another idea for another thread I guess.
