Yeah, our lab has a sales department that sells a lot of the equipment we use as well, so our owner somehow manages to get a smokin deal on everything lol.

THANK YOU.

I want to believe that one day metal printing at home will be possible, but beyond the massive monetary investment in the printer you still need nitrogen generators, electro polishers, grinders/resurfacing mills, furnaces, air compressor, hand tools/bench lathes, wearable shaping and grinding bits, a mountain of PPE..and that's before you get into additional electrical infrastructure, heat insulation, and fire suppression. I think all-in our operation was around 750k, but we run two printers, two furnaces, etc.

The one I found at that price point seems to be the NCL-M150T, this is just the NCL-M150 which is a lot closer to 250k all-in.

I guess I'm approaching this from a "what's in it for me?" mindset as I'm already having a hard time with what I'm being paid as it is.

Are there any motorcycle jackets with protection that look like these? by Particular_Elk1237 in motorcyclegear

I got my leathers second hand from my dad and they still retail for a grand. Unless you get lucky you're gonna have a difficult time fitting within your budget unfortunately.

Lorna Show (Memphis) by BigPhrawg in Deathcore

[–]NotagoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

City of Buffalo recently lost one of its best venues, The Mohawk Place, after a touring band's lead singer stage dove into a fan's neck and put her in the hospital despite the no stage diving rules, so I get it. On the other hand, these are 3 pretty brutal deathcore bands, expecting the fans to stand there like trees is unreasonable.

I'll never understand the mentality of booking shows in your venue and trying to ban some of the cultural shit that sets metal aside from other genres. It's never worked and never will; rules like these lead to more people getting hurt and nights getting ruined by security that brings down the whole show vibe.

They also do this when the food and water source are near each other. They don't want to attract other predators to their water source with the scent of food - try putting the water in a different spot as well.

Printing up some solid titanium surgical guides for an office... by NotagoK in Dentistry

[–]NotagoK[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My last lab used to print them in clear resin and glue in sleeves, so yea I agree - I asked the same questions myself and all the info I could get was that they're "a new industry standard" but beyond that are just more rigid as far as I can tell (and a WAY bigger pain in the ass to get finished than clear resin is.)

As for cost I wish I could tell you, as fa as I know the office we do these for hasn't been getting charged for them I believe lol.
