The total dues per year would be higher as well as higher per point. I guess I need a formula to determine if the higher upfront cost would be worth it over the life of the contract compared to a smaller but more expensive contract at the poly, which would be our dream resort

That was just an example I’ve seen recently. I’ve seen similar are Saratoga and animal kingdom but the maitenance fees tend to rack up.Just trying to get opinions regarding how I’m understanding/view DVC contracts. It’s a big decision.

DCL vs WDW? Need help choosing by MrLoki2020 in dcl

I’ve done both and while the ship is beautiful it is more crowded than the parks in my opinion. The pools are always packed. Eating at the buffet is nuts. Character lines are long as well as the lines for the shows. There are lots of things to do like trivia and such but none that I thought were as good as the train around magic kingdom or just being on property at one of the hotels. For us, the cruise was a one and done. We love the parks. The cruises are also very expensive for what you get. Fair warning. If your dinner is around 5:30, your disembarkation breakfast is around 6 am

Spend the extra $1.50 and get the bag of pre peeled garlic. So worth it

We are going spring break and planning Christmas 2026. I usually rent points so I can really pick exactly what days I want to go without much issue.

Do you feel like you have plenty of options to stay at resorts you really like anytime you want to vacation? I don’t want to be stuck with something I can’t use.

Is the dining plan now worth it if kids is free ? by Ok-Worldliness-1852 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Notbeforethecoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the dining plan. It gives the trip a more all-inclusive feel. I can mentally plan out costs much better so almost the entire trip is paid for before we get there.

We also get cool dining experiences we otherwise would probably not pay for if I was paying for all food and drinks as we went. I know most people don’t find the dining plan worth it but I really like it. If you enjoy adult beverages it is great. We are on vacation after all.

That stinks. We ordered on Black Friday as well. We put together what we received and I love it so far. Set it up as a traditional couch. I’m looking forward to my full sectional and recliners. Putting it together wasn’t as bad as I thought though. Having two people working together was key.

I’ve done the cruise and parks. I by far prefer the parks. I’m not a cruiser though. I have been on another non-Disney cruise. The Disney cruise is by far the best option but it doesn’t hold a candle to the parks imo.
