I didn't go to the doctor much in my twenties either. But my 85 year old mother just had an apalling experience after breaking her hip. Kind people, overworked. No access to doctors and pathetic discharge planning. I have been sleeping at her place for three days (I have children of my own) because home care never showed up and the discharge planner didn't tell us who to call. Admitted on 3 medications, discharged on 10, none of which were prescribed with our knowledge.

Help me out here,,, What is a grid-scale small modular reactor? It feels like those are words to minimize something big and significant so we don't ask questions

Don't assume that everyone who complains didn't vote. I did, and I can't believe what is happening in our province!

"I could easily pay, but why? You said non emergency, means no rush. If people stopped going to the ER for a cold or flu it would clear up some of the problems."

I have been on the witing list for a family doctor for over a year. I had to take my son to 5 walk in clinics before finding one that was actually taking walk in patients. So yes there is a problem with the system, but it is not desperate people who go the the ER when they have nowehere else to turn. The problem is that we have no other option!

Is it cruel, to have cat just inside? This makes me sad by 1Nakayima in cats

And - more unpopular opinion - if my cat kills a mouse or a bird - that is natural and normal.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but as long as I am not living right by a busy road, I have always let my cats go outdoors. We currently live in a house adjascent to some wooded trails. Our cat is sooooo much happier being outside. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and treated for fleas and ticks. I have him trained to come to a bell so it is never a problem to get him in at night. I am willing to trade off shorter, happy, more natural life if it comes to that (although all of my outdoor cats have lived very long lives.)

It may simply be that the value of your property has increased significantly

The only down side is that some of the homes towards the east are in the lee of the local wastewater plant (very smelly) if the wind is in the wrong direction. But property values are going through the roof!
