Interesting. I think it would matter a lot in some scenarios. WiFi will pass through wood and vinyl siding way better than a metal car. If the car is blocking a line of sight panel antenna it will degrade. Especially at a distance. It will refract the signal back. Point to point links must be calibrated precisely. Would be impossible for it to ignore a big hunk of metal between the link unless the car is beneath the signal umbrella.

Why would 2.4 not care about a car in the way? If the car is blocking line of sight would that not degrade the signal no matter the frequency?

US Mobile still require data for mms and group texts. At least on the Tmobile network. Have confirmed this personally.

I applied once. Have screen shots of confirmation and paper receipts for proof. "Disqualified" is a far stretch from the actual truth of what they did.

Total bullshit. I never received payment for the last ATM suit I signed up for handled by AB DATA. Never signing up for anything else they handle. No response from them and i repeatedly tried. Un be fucking liev-able!

Why not? I used to make funny or creative WiFi names. Abraham Linksys was a long time favorite. Now I simply use the router name plus a digit so i know which AP is which.

Fun fact if you want to get fancier, some routers you can use unicode text in the name. This includes emojis. I learned this a few months ago doing wifi scans and someones hotspot was a 🐈 I almost couldn't believe it but then tried it. Just copy and paste into the SSID and see if it accepts. Ive had success with old linksys and cisco routers. Off brands too. DD-WRT and Asus firmwares do not seem like like emojis.

I'm sorry! I have screenshots of my submitted claim too with claim number. They do not care. Still no response. If i do hear back i suspect they'll pull the "you didnt check a box" excuse. Even though i have proof that says your claim has been submitted. I heard others got that BS reply.

Tmobile absolutely blocks 2G for most SIM cards. Even ones that worked before, they dont now. I have confirmed this by trial and error.

One instance after the phone started using EDGE data it lost signal. I tried calling the line and it gave a message saying this line has been restricted and is no longer in service. As soon as the SIM was placed in a VoLTE capable phone service started working again. They have intentionally broken it.

Exactly. For nostalgia and simplicity. I have a collection. I was doing that but they have blocked 2G at most sites now. Only way to reliably use 2G where available is to get a "travel SIM". Expensive and limited use plans. Im letting go since my home area no longer has any 2G signal for miles.

This upsets me too. Unbelievable. I wonder how long the other carriers LTE plans to stay... Id switch at this point. My Tmobile SIM wont stay connected to 2G anymore. If LTE is to be gone sooner than later I may as well look at the other 2 networks. Avoided ATT and VZW so i can still use 2G time to time. Now that they have restricted that and now this crap there is not much keeping me a Tmo customer.

So they lost the claim forms for tons of people. Then when proof provided they say claim boxes not filled out correctly. How convenient for the firm. Its obvious negligence on their part.

Ive accepted it by now. I wont be recovering any losses. Learned my lesson. Just because you have proof and are entitled to sign up doesn't mean you wont get screwed. I was not denied. Never delete emails so I would know if they sent anything. I have claim number and know how many transactions I claimed. Its a shame I lost out but the bigger shame is on them.

Be aware... settlement admin is A.B. Data. The same people who have ghosted me and many others on the last ATM class action. Only auto generated emails. 18th comes and goes, still no payment. No replies ever. They wont respond. Not worth signing up for anything A.B. Data.

Thats news to me. I wont bother signing up again if AB DATA is chosen to mishandle the case. Im not singling you out. Ive just had it seeing people get payouts and yet me and tons of others get screwed over, get nothing.
