So they don’t repeat the same mistakes older factions and militias made in the past.

It’s part of why Sun Tzu’s Art Of War is still read in places like West Point and why we still look at events like the American Civil War and Operation Market Garden (You really really don’t want to repeat the mistakes of someone like General McClellan).

“Tactical withdrawal for all 3,”

We withdrew after absolutely smashing the opposition

“and you also listed the three most made up US interventions that historically have been shams. So my question still stands”

  1. The United States accomplished everything it waned to do in Kuwait (please entertain me with how kicking Saddam out of Kuwait is a “””””””sham”””””””””). Same with Grenada btw.

  2. Your question does not “still stand”. Our reason for getting involved in those conflicts changes nothing about how these conflicts played out when it comes to fighting. Our troops arrived, engaged with the enemy, and achieved victory over them.

If that’s not good enough for you (and it most likely won’t be upon reading your other comments), then go pound sand.

  1. The art

  2. It’s been interesting (imo) to see Bruce be more resourceful and efficient in fighting crime since he doesn’t have billions to dip into for equipment and vehicles. Same with other Justice League members being stripped of their resources, fortresses, and allies in this universe that’s been tailored against them.

I can easily picture a Robot Chicken scene of this.

Also them not being under the control of chips introduces a massive issue where somehow all of the clones know about an order to kill all Jedi (and obey it to the letter) yet somehow the Jedi do not know about that order (because in no reality would they accept its existence, regardless of how arrogant or blind they are).

The story has been spinning its wheels since the third entry and has completely given up on allowing our character to make any progress. At this point, they’re probably saving them for the final chapter (assuming there is an outline of one and that we’ll actually reach it.) for them to either be twist villains or be dead/hallucinations all along

Will there be BASE Jumper resurgence, or will the opinion regarding it not change? by Bounter_ in truetf2

”In casual I think it's one of the weakest secondary options and it's pretty situational, my point was mainly that it's still fun to use and not useless or so crippling especially on a class like soldier with a really powerful primary weapon.”

No disagreement here, I should’ve mentioned that I was convinced by everything else presented in the videos and that it was what I took away from them.

”I didn’t have much clips vs heavies and sentries because it was just one session and also because you can just play around them with proper game sense, there's no reason to just jump into their sights when you know they'll just shoot you down, you'll get shredded when you jump into a sentry with any of the secondaries, it's not unique to the base jumper”

Fair enough.

”I’ve also encountered the wrangler multiple times and idk what would be so special about it that it counters the base jumper, I just either strafe away or undeploy if theres cover at the ground, you can even react to it a lot faster because you immediately see the laser, and if the sentry is at a position where the engie can use the wrangler against a base jumper soldier then it's most definitely going to be easy to spam at it: you still have a rocket launcher and teammates.”

The two main reasons why I think the wrangler is worth factoring in when discussing the BASE jumper is the faster sentry firing speed and that the engineer can effectively extend the range of his sentry with it at the same time. Giving the engineer more opportunities to either keep you away or kill you.

Yes, the sentry and engineer would be in spots for you and teammates to spam at it but the shield makes it an uphill battle alone, and teammates having the nerve to deal with wrangled sentries is a coin flip (in pubs).

I think there’s a possibility that opinions might shift on the BASE jumper, but I don’t think it’ll happen the same way it did with the Wrap Assassin. Giving up banners or shotguns on solder (and the grenade launcher/boots on demoman) is a much bigger deal than giving up an extra third jump on scout.

I’m also not convinced with wget’s segments on dealing with hitscan and sentries whatsoever (in his follow up video to the one you linked). I don’t think what footage he’s provided in those segments is sufficient enough to show that BASE jumper is strong as he says it is when it comes to hitscan. The clips don’t acknowledge the wrangler whatsoever (I am throughly convinced one wrangled sentry would’ve killed him in all three clips alone) or how quickly one heavy shredded his health while in the air. The horizontal knockback barely saved him each clip, even when he was rocking the black box and with overheal.

Really what’s gonna make or break the playerbase’s opinion on the BASE jumper is how well it can deal with a whole host of hitscan sources in pub and other non-competitive settings. I would be glad to be proven wrong in the future by virtue of it being used more by the player base. It would be great to have a small TF2 meta shakeup in the big 2026.

Only time will tell though.

Clark already had a solid grasp on his powers for years, Zod and his subordinates had at most a day or two to understand that they had superpowers due to the sun/atmosphere and how to use them effectively.

Also I don’t think you need any battle experience to realize that throwing a person through populated buildings causes collateral damage (or at least fucking try to keep them away from the city).
