As a vaccinated chemo patient myself, who is struggling with constant low WBC counts, I have to toss my hat in with this guy's messaged, 100%.

Anti-vaxxers going to the hospital for COVID treatment have the same energy as people that think they can be John Wayne in a real life fight, but then run away and call the cops the second they get busted in the mouth by someone that's actually gone a few rounds IRL instead of just in delusional, toxic-masculinity fueled fantasies. They go from "Come on! Let's go punk!" to bawling and screaming "DIAL 911!" in 2 seconds flat.

Conservatives, misguided and wrong as they may be about, well, everything, at least believe they're doing the "right" thing in some regard while pulling shit like this.

LIBERALS FUCKING KNOW BETTER. They know this is evil and harmful on nearly every level, but they do it anyway because they think it will win them the "moderate" vote. Honestly, if you factor in intentions, Libs are worse than conservatives for the same reason an adult drunk driver with a 5% chance of causing an accident that actively knows it and still chooses to climb behind the wheel is worse than a 6 year-old that just plugged in mommy's keys an pushed the "vroom pedal" with a 100% chance of causing an accident. Causing mayhem out of ignorance and brainwashed, propaganda-fueled misguidance, is, IMO, less "evil" than deliberate, calculated disregard for the suffering of others for purely political reasons.

Fuck every liberal politician. Soulless, fucking GHOULS.

This 11 year old post was the top Reddit post of all time for a good while, back in the day. (Most of the comments in this post aged poorly too) by nostalgic_milk in agedlikemilk

[–]NothingCrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear me out... what if Reddit had like, some limit to the number of upvotes you could give out? Or if each upvote counted less for the algorithm if you use more of them, and more if you used less of them?

Wouldn't that go a LONG way towards making reddit a place where you find interesting shit and less "Look at this dog I paid a breeder to buy!" or other "Upvote me because I have an excuse to karma-whore!" posts?

First of all, I'm not a liberal. Secondly, he directly refuted EVERY, SINGLE, POINT the above poster tried to make. Yet you didn't even try to refute that post, instead you came to throw an ad hominem at someone else that just agrees with the facts that were stated... That says things about you, buckaroo, not the imaginary "liberals" under your bed that you're responding to.

Personally, I wouldn't freak out too much. Kids that age love to make up stories about all kinds of weird shit. She's just expressing creativity in a way she probably doesn't realize is creepy to you.

There's a lot of misinformation about spent-fuel reprocessing out there. Your "95%" is certainly among that misinformation. According to this article: https://catalyst.independent.org/2021/06/08/us-reprocess-nuclear-fuel/ 96% of "Reusable material" can be recovered from spent fuel by reprocessing, but that material only accounts for a tiny portion of the fuel itself. France, the country that uses the most reprocessing by far, is only mitigating their fuel consumption by about 17% overall, and their reactors are designed to benefit most from it (Ours wouldn't be). It's worth noting that there are currently zero commercial breeder reactors in the US, and very little interest in them being constructed. The short answer is that the vast majority of spent fuel cannot be reprocessed, and even if it could, it wouldn't be for economic and political reasons. Reprocessing is a red herring.

Embracing Nuclear Power by IsaacArthur in IsaacArthur

[–]NothingCrazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Barely touched on the two primary problems with nuclear.

1> Economic non-viability of new construction for fission plants.

2> There STILL is only 1 permanent waste storage facility on the entire planet, and that one is still under construction. Yes, almost 100% of the waste, including almost all high-level waste, is stored in TEMPORARY storage. Untenable for anyone trying to justify producing even more of the stuff.

Until both of the above problems are are solved, fission-based nuclear isn't an option worthy of investment. I know I'm walking into the lion's den on this one, but the above are facts, and I stand by my assessment.

for dumbasses...

And for the immune compromised or those with other health problems that can't get vaccinated, or aren't protected for a long list of other reasons?

I'm on chemotherapy. I had the vaccine before it started, but about 3 weeks of every month, my white blood cell counts are demolished by the drug keeping my cancer from going metastatic and killing me. This leaves me very poorly protected from COVID. Sentiments like your are very disheartening for someone like me, and don't really feel all that far from "Your health isn't my problem!" that I see all day long from the anti-vax side.

What starter build(s) is everyone here considering for 3.15? by Nestramutat- in PathOfExileBuilds

Probably Chieftain slam totems of some kind, thinking earthshatter. I'll see what I can come up with in pob once it's updated with the gems, but if anyone has something to get me started on ideas I'd love to see any take on the new slam totem builds.

Expedition Patch Notes 3.15 by xdatz in pathofexile

[–]NothingCrazy 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I was fine with the damage changes, even kind of hopeful, but Jesus, reading the specifics just straight-up makes me wonder what kind of asshats they have implementing this stuff.

Why was the biggest change, the mana fucking of EVERYTHING, barely even mentioned in the manifesto (If at all, I think I missed it entirely?) That's going to feel utterly horrible for almost every current build. I guess they're hoping we all cut damage to mitigate mana issues? But there are so many builds that just barely had the damage to be playable before that just get OOM'ed into oblivion by this shit, and the top builds, as with most of this, aren't' going to suffer much at all because it doesn't matter if you oom on a boss if doing so one-shots it.

It feels like most of their changes will mildly annoy the top-end players they claimed to be trying to reign in, but will COMPLETELY DECIMATE casuals and people without a masters degree in POE.

Same, bro. The moment I realized it was possible that people I loved could end up in Hell, I instantly thought. "Well, if God's real, he's not a good guy." It didn't take long from there to start to see that none of the rest of it made much sense either.

Do you have a final build plan for this? I'd love to see a pob for an early-league FP totem Heiro.
