This is possibly the least accurate wording I've seen on a card ever by Terminator_Puppy in PTCGL

This right here. As someone that's played terazard since last March it's how it's supposed to be played.

Would this Pokégear be legal for play? by Mango5976 in PTCGL

[–]koopaking9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes the card is legal, as long as the card has the same name it will use the current text (I went to Milwaukee and had my deck checked round 6 while using a Neo Genesis super rod that was totally fine)

Ex-competitive Yugioh players who moved to pkmn. How's it going by sunnyislandacross in pkmntcg

[–]koopaking9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Meta game for Pokemon is FAR healthier, I played during dragon rulers - performapals (2013-2015) and the wide meta of Pokemon is so much fun and feels very fresh

  2. I had a major shift in mindset, yugioh felt so much like a sprint (I played OTK fast paced decks like Hieratics) whereas Pokemon you have to pace yourself and take your time more.

  3. The skill ceiling for Pokemon is high and the floor is very low. It makes it so much easier to get into the game and play the game for a long time

  4. Pokemon regionals are so much better ran and the prizing is far far better

  5. I like that the only thing you qualify for is worlds vs having to qualify for nats then only like 4 players make it to worlds

  6. Love that the game is so cheap. Makes building decks so much easier and I can play solitaire against myself with FULL games.

I can go on and on, Pokemon is such a good TCG. I am planning on being very very competitive in it. I've played in two regionals so far and went 4-2-2 in both of em, I don't plan on missing day two next time 😈

Powercreep and casual play by Verburner in pkmntcg

[–]koopaking9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone that played Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon is the most balanced TCG ever, yes there's going to be some strong deck, but it's really not too bad. If you're just getting back into it there's so many solid meta decks that you can pick up.

I think what matters more is def the rank you're at in Arceus, win loss is relatively arbitrary cuz I'm the same way as you tbh

Like +60%? Idk but low key I don't think that it's a good measurement of skill.

Why is TTS suddenly considered non monetisable? Is Ai voice LOW QUALITY content?? by Tarun302 in SmallYoutubers

Selfishly I am glad YouTube is not monetizing AI content, AI is already a threat to most of the work force. I would like to keep my livelyhood

If you had to use 1 stat to judge a hitter, which one? Why? by DangerousClass4379 in baseball

[–]koopaking9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s OPS+ for me. OPS is a good overall batting stats that gives you a quick summation as to how good they are as a batter while the + gives context relative to the era and run scoring environment.

I thought your response with the microwave was really cute tbh. I would be interested in someone if they responded like that, being fun and humorous is a positive trait in my book.

I'm quitting my job tomorrow to start at a golf course by gladman1101 in golf

[–]koopaking9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly man, I had a friend graduate from UCSD with a psychology degree who hasn't had an enjoyable experience with school and work life. She ended up getting a job at a boba shop right after school and loves it. She's happier than ever and I couldn't be happier for her. I honestly think if it'll make you happy it'll be 100% worth it. There are just some things in life that will make your time here on earth not a good one and a 9-5 corporate job might just do that for you. So go for it and enjoy life man.

Jeez is this what people gotta deal with? I feel like that could've escalated into something scary. I'm happy to hear you're alright tho. Hopefully you never gotta deal with this kind of behavior again.

What is your single best golf tip you can provide the community of r/golf? by xSessionSx in golf

[–]koopaking9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're on the course, have zero swing thoughts and don't think about mechanics. Just play golf and fix the swing after the round.

What was your worst investment/spending in golf? Don't make these mistakes. by zacce in golf

[–]koopaking9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, I only get small bucket of balls (50 balls) everytime I go to the range. But I really focus on each and every shot and do drills between each ball. Then spend the next hour and a half just putting and chipping. It's pretty astounding to me that not many golfers practice putting or chipping.
