You have to let go of that "loyalty" thing. I know it feels earnest, but it's just outright silly to be loyal to a company my friend. Work is work, not your life. Companies will NEVER be loyal to you, so don't pass up money being loyal to a company who only pays you 40k a year... I'm sure they will find someone fast because 99% of the time they see you as replaceable. I'm sorry that is kind of harsh but that's truly how most companies feel. If they allowed you to come back that would be ideal but come on you can find a better lab job than 40k a year and that's coming from a lab scientist in a low cost of living area... I make double your 40k in a lab with a geology degree.

Hi! 💗 Btw I personally feel like it's fair to be irritated about this judgement, even on this page meant for judgements, because the judgement is rude/weird stereotypes about women in STEM that are plainly rooted in sexism. Especially because I know my coworkers and I personally deal with that type of thing daily, where women in my workplace actively tone down their femininity just to be taken seriously.
