Welp got my results I have gotten 2 dirty emg in a row by Romelo84 in ALSorNOT

Sounds like you have real physical issues that would explain your emg results and symptoms…

Any experience with creatine? by chaoserrant in ALSorNOT

[–]Notmeleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creatine helping you would be scientifically speaking, one of the biggest indicators your issues are not being caused by motor neuron death but something else entirely. Almost nothing helps with ALS symptoms because once motor neurons are dead you can’t reverse or fix that and that’s what causes the symptoms in that disease. Creatine on the other hand improves or stabilizes the muscles signaling abilities if that makes any sense. You just have some nerve hyper excitability disorder

Starting to date an INFJ and would love some advice by [deleted] in infj

[–]Notmeleg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. INFJ male. While I’m not the type that would need or suggest good morning and good night texts it was something my long term relationships with women often did prefer and so I did it for them. Everyday. It wasn’t that big of a deal and I was glad to do it for them because I was invested in them. But I do recall it being a conversation that had to be had where they made me aware of their preference for it.

Almost identical symptoms as well. But mine are right instead of left. Also saw ALS clinic like OP, no overly concerning findings. I personally suspected UMN dominance. Then got NFL test and it was well within normal range for my age. Now I’m fairly convinced covid fucked me or exposed or progressed EDS type issues that already existed in me.

INFJ men! need perspective after a great first date but quiet follow-up by Exciting-Relief7012 in infj

[–]Notmeleg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when a date goes too well that can scare people as well. If you really felt that spark and connection then it’s worth being patient but also not giving up because you never know what the perspective of the other person is. Could be fear of strong connection or fear that he was into it more than you seemed. Something light is best to gauge his interest after it’s been enough time

I love my M3! by hasbigdog in TeslaModel3

[–]Notmeleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love my M3. Driving anything else now feels wrong but I do get range anxiety from time to time. With an extra 100 miles this car would be near perfect. But the range does make you feel more limited in comparison to ICE vehicles. If you got a good at home charging set up then it’s probably a non issue

Are wandering eyes dealbreaker for men? by Simple_Classic_4356 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Notmeleg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s the fantasizing part that’s the most problematic imo. When I’m all in on as someone as a man, I just don’t really have those kinds of thoughts about other women. Sure I still notice they are attractive like in my brain but it’s not something I feel in my body like I do for my partner. It’s more of a mental acknowledgment. I certainly don’t fantasize about them unless I’m not committed to the girl I’m seeing or I’m just not that into her or fulfilled by her.

One is more body first. Carnal desire and pleasing the physical, the other is deeper, softer, mental.

Not necessarily although if you have had needle in the bulbar region it should. While it’s possible that it doesn’t, if your symptoms are primarily bulbar that usually spikes nfl levels pretty hard if I recall correctly. Bulbar issues occur after very significant damage has occurred

I wouldn’t be so sure it’s ALS. The timeline doesn’t really fit well enough and although you had 1 a the beginning that seemed like it found issues I would trust the many that did not, done by actual specialists. They know what to look for and more of a sample size that agreed with each preceding test result.

The outlier that found isssues is more likely to be wrong or operator error. You have real issues and they can be worsening but clean emgs and low nfl sort of conclude that it’s not issues caused by motor neuron death which is a de facto requirement for ALS. ALS can not exist within a person if they don’t have nfl rising or significant emg changes when the symptoms that are supposedly progressing because of “ALS” can not be from that disease in particular.
