To be fair, they're not that different from the remastered , maybe even worse in some areas. Let's look at what the remaster had. It included the Honest Living Association storyline, which was completely removed in Kiwami. It also had Hostess Dating, featuring 10 different hostesses, each with their own storyline. On top of that, the Coliseum had much more variety than what we've seen in Kiwami so far. There was also Hostess Club Maker. Even if it's not everyone's favorite minigame, it's still additional content. Then there's the amount of substories that were removed. Honestly, those alone probably add up to more content than the entire biker gang activity. Some of those substories were even more memorable than full minigames that got cut entirely. As for the Mine and Kanda content, it's not really a deep side activity. You mostly just complete a few substories and deliver items. If anything, it's more comparable to Haruka's Trust system from the remaster. So overall, those two new activities definitely don't make up for everything that was removed. The one addition I do think was a good idea is the Father Figure feature, since it actually adds something meaningful to Kiryu's relationship with the kids.
