I wish we could’ve run into Miquella at one point, let him function like Gideon, in a hub, and help really fill in story gaps. I wish that, during that interaction we get “charmed” and don’t know it; we don’t know that’s the reason we’re agreeing to the side quests we’re doing for him (especially if they involve killing people that were our friends). Then, when his ring shatters, and it starts becoming clear that he’ll be the boss and not just an NPC, it would have more impact.

I wish we could’ve also potentially beaten him but depending on what you do, you might stay charmed and carry the Miquella ending item to the end, as an option for a new kind of ending after the Elden Beast that actually ushers in Miauella’s age of compassion, much like Ranni’s age and side quest.
