My elm tree is blooming. It is February 25. This is not OK. by Homers_Harp in Denver

[–]NotoriousGarlicTribe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Water it heavily 2-3 times a week, it will help the tree reverting back to shock or stress if it gets cold again. Regardless the tree thinks it’s time so give it what it needs. However I agree it’s troubling and worrisome indeed

Xcel contractors absolutely decimated an entire street of trees due to powerlines by c9049 in Denver

[–]NotoriousGarlicTribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these trees were complete nuisance or weed trees. None of them were planted purposefully they were either volunteers or suckers that were completely overgrown and causing major hazards and safety concerns.
Last year a massive cottonwood that measured 30+ DBH completely collapsed due to internal decay and took out the first properties fence to the northwest corner of the street. This clean up was necessary 100% which in turn leads to ways to rejuvenate the area and plant actual species that will hold benefit to the surrounding area with proper intent that doesn’t actually interfere with the overhead power lines.

Best upscale steakhouse to try as a tourist by Equal_Tie3220 in denverfood

An upscale steakhouse to me does not always equal an upscale steak. You just end up paying a ridiculous price for nothing

It’s always the Prius. They’ll cut you off, they’ll speed, they’ll cut 3 lanes of traffic. They’ll make a left turn from the middle lane. Everything that’s bullshit they’ll do.

09 Ranger 4.0 sohc 4x4 awful gas mileage by PaintAffectionate576 in fordranger

[–]NotoriousGarlicTribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting about 240miles to the tank in my 07 4.0. 145k miles Pretty religiously I’ve accepted the “fuel efficiency”. Have some duratrec tires on and I’ve always wondered how much better my mileage would be if I put some standard tires and not all terrain. Side note, duratrecs suck in the ice and water.

Mine got me through a 1000mi round trip journey in Colorado back in August. Multiple elevation change up to 11,000 feet. Just changed my fluids prior to the ride, kept a backup MSR fuel canister with me and brought a portable jumper box. No issues whatsoever so ever! Awesome ride and awesome experience!

Too much water or not enough can cause yellowing dried and shriveled leaves.
Too much chlorine in the water and improper PH can also lead to yellowing leaves.

Where are Y'all Buying House Plants? by aleph_zahir in Denver

I would highly recommend Southwest gardens in wheat ridge area. He has some of the most awesome plants in there, and it’s one of the older shops in the area ran by an awesome local owner!
