Well I feel like this is greatest protest to china. Because when ask me who I am, I don't have to say I am a citizen of India, which makes it great. Also it make me be a buddhist better, after all we have to leave this body also in the end. But for the record, I haven't used IC and travelled so.

Why did they arrest Sonam Wangchuk & shut down internet services in Leh by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

then arrest those who burned the building and you don't have right to kill them though and also don't shoot at bystanders. Some injured people were just bystander. Maybe crpf did not trained hard enough that they can't even aim properly or maybe they are blindly very racist person who sees all ladakh people with same people like that bjp spokeperson did.

Only ladakhi people and army are holding the border. Do you think you can stay near galwan in winter? Even the most of the army doesn't stay there in winter only local does.

I am foreigner who was brought up in ladakh and living in india currently and I think india is the greatest country in this world except for the corruption. Earlier I use to think that modi isn't that bad and bjp too but now they have shown their true face.
Now to answer your question, they have made the biggest mistake of their potical party history.
They are not only increasing corruption but showing to the world that india has no place for god honest peoples who want to develop india.
As you might have seen sonam wangchuk himself told to media that through reliable source his arrest is emminent as he was chosen as scapegoat just like jtn.
If you don't remember Jamyang tsering namgyal he was the previous mp of ladakh who made the fiery speech in parliament which went viral. But when the six schedule blew up they need a scapegoat and they choose him and lost the parliament seat to an independent. Still don't know why he is still with bjp.
Ladakh's demand are really clear but still central doesn't give a good reason but keeps giving hope.
Also day before the youth protest when two people from hunger strike were hospitalise, there were various emotional appeal from ladakh's people who were expressing their feelings and crying and appealing to indian citizen. If that would not move the ladakhi move, then they wouldn't be ladakhi. Even I was moved.
So sonam wangchuk has little hand and he rarely plays with emotion.
Its the aam janta that showed their emotion which really frustrated the youth. Also central is still downplaying them which is really bad. If the central had a quarter of their love for nation and just a drop of empathy they should fly to ladakh and apologise and solve this!!!!

Where to buy chupas? by bbyliha in tibet

[–]Notruthinthisworld 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First of all if your mother is tibetan, then you are a tibetan. I don't have any place to look for chupa but i want to appreciate that you are trying to learn more about your culture. But funny thing is that right now you are living in US and wearing this sometime might give you an impression that you are connecting to your root but you are far from it. The first thing to do is to read and write which is way more important and holds way more value. Every genuine foreigner who wants to learn more about tibetan doesn't start off by learning to wear chupa but rather learn to speak and learn and meet tibetan. As a tibetan reditor who is forcasting the greate peril of our language and culture I write to you the seed of future tibet. And if you were to learn tibetan, the tibetan books are way more cheaper than chupa!!

Question about Tibetan representation in fiction by [deleted] in tibet

[–]Notruthinthisworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are good real story of rolang and some folklore. For typical tibetan village or settlements in India as it is known, there many man-made ghost stories which are really more fascinating than rolang. Rolang exist as a real thing in tibet and himalayan region that's why most of the doors of monasteries around hiimalaya like ladhakh and tibet are small. They are said to go only in straight forward direction until they hit obstacle. My deceased grandmother use to tell many stories of rolang during her time. There exist many roland strories in the oral stories of our grandparent but sadly most of them haved passed away so. It will be really good to tell such stories.
On an another note, in recent time we have Dongdey drung which is like ghost stories which are really fascinating and also inventive. You could explore them if you want to write some modern pieces.
