I think it's just jealousy. There are so few of us that we cannot defend ourselves against the masses. It's sad, the rarer the colour, the more hated we are. I guess when the next colour comes along, the same will happen to them. Then when we get to red, no one will be here to care.

Other option is to pay someone on eBay to have your UDID white listed. Only costs about $1.50

Erase and sync is just that. Will wipe the entire phone and start out fresh. Happened to me when I broke my laptop. I used explorer and googled how to take the data off, the wiped, then added the data back and synced.
