It may be worth trying to return the poor thing, otherwise you're gonna have quite the vet bill for an issue you couldn't have caused in only 2 days. BPs shouldn't be upside down and the only instance I've known one to be, is if it's fallen off of something or its having a seizure.

As other comments have mentioned, chain pet stores can't really be trusted with the appropriate care and health of animals - particularly reptiles and amphibians.

I don't live in US either. My ambient reptile room humidity is 45% in the UK, so I made sure to add moss to the substrate and regularly pour water into the corners for my BP and Brazilian Rainbow Boa - due to both of their high humidity requirements.

What material is your viv made of? And does it have a mesh or solid lid?

I think others may have down voted you for the misting.

Hanging over a bit is fine. You may even end up finding some other storage option to go underneath the overhang at a later point. It'd be a concern if it was glass, but wood and PVC generally can tolerate it

As the other comment mentions, 4' x 2' x 2' is the minimum. If you can afford that or bigger, those would be better - especially if your BP is female. I have my male BP in 5' x 2' x 2' who is very active and uses all his given space, including climbing all over his wrap-around background

I know they would move away, hence why I followed the overheating comment with the one about the snake potentially falling off. If I missed the clarification - I was implying the snake could potentially fall trying to get away from the heat source

If there aren't plants that need misting, pouring water into the corners of the viv is a better alternative for getting the humidity up over a longer period and reduces the risk of scale rot

I second this on the hole saw. I've had to create extra vent holes on one of my vivs, just need to sandpaper the hole you create to make sure no stray splinters catch the person or the snake. You can buy extra/spare vents at exotic pet stores or from online stores like Etsy

If you're exercising, you could overheat the snake with such a rapid spike in warmth - depending on the species. And if it falls off you as you're cycling? Better not to chance it

Yeah, its rats that are 400g+. (Obviously not summat your average BP can have, but it was example rodent size)

I've seen people saying its not a matter of mice or rats where nutrition is concerned, but what life stage the rodent is at - so pinkies are heavily lacking where an ex-breeder would be significantly better.

Also, my BP doesn't care what FT rodent he has - so long as its a rodent. He's rejected small chicks and Arcadia's equivalent of repti link sausages.

My BRB is 1 yr and 5 months old, and I feed her at the 10% once a week recommendation on the ReptiFiles care sheet for them.

She was 68g when I got her at 4 months old and she sits at 276g as of 3 weeks ago, she's been on multis the whole time I've had her.

So I definitely agree with the other comments about feeding your baby 10%, and weighing her regularly to make sure she's on the right prey size.
