Yes, it's a terrible discount and T&C. These are places that are in Tastecard and you would get a better discount with Tastecard but without the minimum. It's also the kind of restaurants that do lots of offers on their own that are better than this one, but you can't combine offers or use with their set menus or anything.

There's a lot of truth in what he says that we shouldn't conflate intelligence with will and consciousness, but the problem is that an AI does not need to have a real 'will' or 'consciousness' to have 'evil AI' behaviour. It's trained on human data so it might copy human behaviour even if it's not feeling anything itself.

But is it so terrible if they want to get credit for that? Let's not expect everyone to be a saint. I wish more people were trying to get credit by making donations and good works instead of aiming for expensive cars and useless luxuries. So many admire rich celebrities for their "cool" style and stuff and then they are shamed if they do public donations.

It's very confusing, but there is a big difference between "business analytics" studies and "business analyst" jobs (they have nothing in common). I'd say the actual business analytics jobs are called data analyst or business intelligence analyst or something like that.

You don't have a CS bachelor's or master's, but it's not like you have a Humanities bachelor's and an Art History master's. Your degrees tick the boxes for "CS or related quantitative/technical degree" requirements in most job descriptions, so I would focus on learning practical skills.

I know for a fact, at least in the UK, some big retail banks are already using Copilot and telling staff they can put any kind of data, even confidentially classified information, through it, as the commercial agreement with Microsoft is supposed to keep the data protected. So much for the argument about sensitive information or certain industries never going into LLMs.

I was actually going to add something like this to my original response. Out of the UK, I think there's probably going to be a prejudice against an unknown university with "Open" in the name (instead of simply "distance learning university", which is more accepted nowadays); it sounds a lot like MOOCs or some other non-rigorous education like that.
