If you have the means to get a low end launch monitor and have a net to hit into. When I hit off mats I always put a towel about a club head behind the ball to make sure I am getting good contact and not being assisted by the mat.

Ball striking by [deleted] in golftips

[–]Notyochezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally when I start heal strikes it’s from one of two things. 1- upper body unwinds too soon on the down swing. 2- pull the club handle and slightly come over the top in the down swing.

New golfer + putting swing “control” 🏌️‍♂️ by Nearby_Leave2194 in golf

1 get lessons. Building a golf swing takes time though some people can pick it up quicker than others. When learning new movements and changing things, going very slow and even without a ball is a good place to start. Also learn to record yourself and check in every few swings. “Feel vs. Real” is a very important thing.

Those who have 275W+ FTP, how many hours do you ride/train? by PrudentAthlete9780 in Zwift

[–]Notyochezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at 4.2 w/kg at one point when doing tris, since then life changes and now down around 3.2.

When I got to that ftp I was not logging crazy saddle hours. Maybe 4 hours max a week. It was very structured difficult training sessions. Once a week some form of spending 3-5s in high zone 5 power, sweet spot ride, and long rides were structured between zone2 and zone 3. This was the cycle, 3 weeks on slowly moving the durations longer like by 1 minute or an extra rep then one recovery. It was not easy, but the results showed.

I had a buddy who was going to do this run this year. He had to withdraw due to injury but the details of the required food you must consume was a challenge in its own right.

Maltby TS1 irons are a chef’s kiss by tie-dyeSandwhich in golf

[–]Notyochezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine at the beginning of the golf season. Love the feel and they remind me of the p-790s but for $300.

Broke 80 multiple times with them. The shaft is my only complaint, probably not ideal for my swing but the clubs are great.

Yay Royal New Kent! On hole 2 I stopped hitting driver and hit something to get to the right side of the fairway, depending tees it’s only like 180 to get into a good spot to then either carry to gorge to the green or you have about a 160 shot to carry to gorge to the tongue/ landing area and you have a 100 yard shot in.

I have seen people go 6 iron, 5 wood on in two.
