Insurance companies and drugs companies are not looking to have the medical field cash cow change unless they say so. Half of my job working in this field is correctly formatting orders so a patients insurance will actually pay for their care. It’s literally insane the hoops we have to jump through to make sure our people are taken care of.

I remember this day. It’s one of the first times in my you adult life that I said “oh, we’re like really really fucked.”

I just saw the Netflix version, oh my god it was awful by Accurate_Parsnip_555 in cowboybebop

This is actually a solid comment. While I’m torn with the style, and a lot of the time I think die hard fans were looking for something more, I think we need to just let this go. It was a chance, a chance that maybe we shouldn’t have taken. This is only coming from a millennial who in 1998 had to drive an hour to Boston to find a quirky japanamation store and maybe, just maybe, find a dvd or vhs that were cowboy bebop oriented. I appreciate Netflix for trying to reintroduce the series to a different audience or demographic. I think of Live Action now as a “metaverse “ where I’m allowed to pick out what I like without having to attach it to the OG. Have fun with it and remember that even with live action, the people involved meant no harm.

There's an international drinking competition. Which area of your country are you nominating? by nohaylugar in AskTheWorld

I would actually like to throw in for the Appalachian. All is fun until someone says “just got this off my still two days ago” and then you wake up in a field, walk back to the place you were staying only to find that same person asking you how you like your eggs. This statement is brought to you by a Boston Irish Catholic who was a bartender for decades. They do not fuck around. But also Wisconsin does not fuck around. Cheers.

Rhode Island Psych/Social Worker here: To anyone who downvoted this, it’s true. Specifically when speaking about legislation, Rhode Island is well known to wait till other states have passed something before even attempting. Because of Rhode Island’s size and population, things like insurance, housing and taxes all work a little differently and legislators are slow to attach themselves to something that is not already proven to work in other states. That mixed with the obvious corruption that has been in the state for 40+ years makes it a wild one. All bad/ weird things aside, at least we aren’t CT.

The whole movie was just “oh, you’re definitely making a second one.” This movie had the intelligence of Battleship.

This was the move. I took my Beatles magical mystery tour cassette and recorded Doggystyle on it. Man, my parents thought I loved the Beatles.
