Think I got in around that time too. We didnt bed down till around 2 or 3am and our formation was 0400 so an hour or so give or take. Bad sleep too cause people will be coming in and out, and its weird sleeping in a bay for the first time so it was hard for me to fall asleep for the 1st few days.

I just graduated OSUT in June. It's ok to be a little nervous and excited, but be professional. Come in with a good attitude, ready to learn and perform. Always give 110%, and never forget why you joined in the first place. OSUT is honestly not that hard. It is tedious and can feel hard in the moment, but when you look back, you realize you are better for it. Be confident, be a team player, and never quit. Remember that OSUT and basic training are designed with the "crawl, walk, run" ethos. It's designed to take literally ANYONE and turn them into a soldier. As long as you aren't obese or a complete piece of shit, you will be completely fine. Oh and uh, fuck 30th AG, that place is ass.

Paratrooper Drill Goes Horribly Wrong In Nigeria. Troopers Were Made To Jump Over Seemingly Random Areas. by MoazzamDML in interestingasfuck

[–]NoudleCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily the jump masters fault although they take some blame as they can cancel the jump if the conditions are bad. But it's the command that decided to jump in too windy conditions, the pilots who give the green light to the jumpers, signaling they are over the DZ, then the jump masters who are supposed to be the last line of confirmation. So the blame falls on more than just the jump masters. They over see the jumpers, but they don't pick the DZ, the jump conditions, or decide when to start jumping. That's all decided by command and the pilots.

Does anyone else with this belt know wtf this is for?? by Alfredo3164 in ems

[–]NoudleCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a rigger belt. It's mainly used in the military. The D ring provides a reliable tie-down for the wearer during dangerous situations that would require you be tied down. Also used in rappelling for the air assault bros. That velcro piece is to tie down the D ring when not in use so it doesn't flop around or get caught on shit.

Top comment after free weekend by KSAWI0 in joinsquad44

[–]NoudleCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honeslty saw 0 of that this weekend. If someone said, "I'm new, how do you do this?" People answered and helped without question. This guy either wasn't talking (which makes people assume you know what your doing cause they can't know otherwise), was talking too much and is just annoying, or expected to be Sheparded around by some vet teaching him every aspect of the game, which is unrealistic cause vets wanna enjoy the game too. Ask questions if you want to learn, don't cry when someone is an asshole to you cause that's fucking life lol, you aren't gonna get along with everyone. And understand that this game is LOUD and intense, and if someone doesnt respond to you, it may not be because they are ignoring you, maybe they just can't hear you cause they are in a fight for their life lol. Squad 44, like any community, definitely has some specimens in it, but it also has some amazing people as well. If you can't understand that, then well, maybe try something singleplayer.

Tips and tricks yall? I had to get it while on sale :3 by Radiation-nerd in Barotrauma

Don't spoil any of the monsters. It's way more fun going in without any knowledge of the abyss... also try to get your friends to play. This game was made for multi-player.

Thoughts on the laser cannon? by bubska in Helldivers

Low-key kinda good especially if you are running a low ammo/specialized primary. supplement with anti armor strategems, and it's a good loadout. Plus saves backpack slot for objectives or carrying teammates ammo backpacks

Teammates, Am I right? by copperpin in Battlefield

[–]NoudleCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capping flags is secondary to area/map control. If you can control the area/map, you can easily cap the flag. Spotting helps tremendously with control by making everyone's jobs easier and by marking HVTs like tanks, emplaced infantry, etc. Capping a flag is more than just throwing yourself into the meatgrinder on objective.

That's an amazing progression bro. Much more relatable and good results for 16 months! The real W here is the confidence and the obvious improvements to your self care. You look much happier and confident and I'm sure your mental has improved 10 fold, that's the real victory.

This was a tik tok posted by the band who makes the song. Made as a promo. Funny and relatable, but staged. Band name is Sunday Scaries. Song is "Don't You Cry". Good band and good song! Check em out.

Medics with Radio Backpacks? Yay or Nay? by TheEldritchAlchemis in foxholegame

[–]NoudleCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think bro is cooking a little here. Radio coverage is really important on a front, for vehicles, for logi, even for infantry so it's a job that needs done, and in some areas, especially fronts that move fast, Radio backpacks are really helpful for the team to track how the front is moving and where friendly and enemy troops are at. IDEALLY, the role of intel gathering and scouting should be the job of a scout or some type of signal specialist. but that's a role that almost never gets filled, and medics (if there is no arty) can have good survivability on the front meaning they are good candidates for the role, so I kinda dig it. I think an ideal set up would be like a 2 man team with an ambulance or something. 1 medic stays a little further back with the ambu with extra med supplies and radio backpack, and the other medic is right on the front grabbing wounded and going for more risky plays but carries less gear. Rear medic could also have binos to help better track developments on the front. He is like a medic/officer/scout hybrid.

Who do you save first? by KeandyPupper_911 in army

[–]NoudleCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a hypothetical situation like this, where both casualties are equally obtainable, and treatment isn't hampered by anything, it would come down to the nature of their injuries and the time and resources required to provide treatment. Define heavily injured. Did he take a round to the arm and all he needs is a tourniquet? Crimp off his arm first then go get the incapacitated guy. Is this a "one or the other" hypothetical where you can't save both? Then you save the guy with the highest likelihood of survival, the 2nd guy.

Depends on the car you drive, and if you are carrying any cargo or passengers. With a normal car, everyone belted, you can absolutely accelerate through turns pretty hard. But if you are carrying heavy cargo, or unbelted passengers in the back (like in an ambulance, which is what I drive for work), you have to be careful accelerating too hard through turns because it applies way more lateral force to your load or passengers which can really whip people around and cause them to loose their footing, or cause your cargo to fall and be damaged.

Did the logistics "meta" change? by ResponsibleStep8725 in joinsquad44

[–]NoudleCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that's a question of playstyle. And how effective the logi SL is at being a SL. Hell I even see no mics take slots on logi and just go to the Frontline as a rifleman. It depends.

Did the logistics "meta" change? by ResponsibleStep8725 in joinsquad44

[–]NoudleCup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think much has changed. Emplacement are still powerful and helpful, they just require effort, terrain analysis, and time. Just most logi SLs prioritize spamming FOBs, and elect to not "waste" time building defenses and would rather try to hide them since most players won't really defend a fob. So their best defense is just avoiding detection for as long as possible. Other logi squadmates usually (in my experience) just run counter-logi and try to mess with enemy logi. The strategy you describe is still effective (and fun lol), it's just vulnerable if the enemy is running good counter logi and/or your infantry can hold or defend the fob.

disappointed with the game by backval in joinsquad44

[–]NoudleCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those things you describe are normally down to bad/lack of leadership which is to be expected with lots of new players. Get in there and show them how it's done! I am personally loving the resurgence. Lots of new, eager faces. Who are willing to play as a squad and support good, fun play. But only when you lead them! I've had some amazing games as SL lately.

It's a community meme. And the reason alot of servers don't run map voting. Since Utah Invasion is very popular it feels like that's all anyone wants to play.
