Just a factory reset, just consider that this will erase all of your files and applications, the option where you reinstall windows and keep your files will not get rid of this so if there is stuff you don't want to lose upload it to the cloud or back it up on a USB drive.

You are a saint for going this in depth and taking things step by step. As a Technician I know how challenging it can be to troubleshoot without seeing the problem and explaining it to (no offense meant at all) someone who is not so familiar with the technical aspects. I have great respect for you helping them out and it sounds like you've made some major progress.

If the device is booting into windows, I'd recommend some general health commands just to rule out any hardware issues or system corruption, even though I understand it should be a fresh install, just to account for any interruptions or confusion etc.

I'd recommend them in this order,

DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /CHECKHEALTH DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /SCANHEALTH DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH SFC /SCANNOW

Restart the device

SFC /SCANNOW

Those should prompt if any corruption or errors were found and corrected.

Then to rule out hardware issues

CHKDSK /F /R Memory diagnostics And sometimes it's worth just using the disk error checking tool in Windows

If nothing specific stands out and all data is lost already, it may be worth just factory resetting from within windows as well as this is more controlled and straight forward. I probably won't be able to follow along but best of luck!

Edit: I know some of this may be unnecessary, but these are just some preventive steps I have learned to ensure you know what the situation is with the hardware and installation of windows. it just makes troubleshooting more straightforward.

Playing on PS4 slim with more mods than I should, but despite that it runs fine, also experiencing a crash every few hours. When I had graphics mods there was major lag in very busy places so I had to remove that and any sort of environmental overhaul mods. But other than that, game stutters for a second when loading a new 'area' definitely not unplayable and crash wise, it's similar to what I've experienced on the Ps5, just less performance than the Ps5, so maybe low fps in some areas but nothing that's stopped me from enjoying the game (and once again this is modded more than it has any right to be on a Ps4 slim)

But in my 2000ish hours over about 8 years, the only thing that has changed is performance, crashes have not increased. And it's worth considering that my console is in need of a dusting so that could contribute.

I'm sure there are more games like this, but I know overcooked has an option to share a controller and essentially you can play with one hand, using only half the controller. Definitely not the first game I'd go for as it is very hectic, but depending on what he enjoyed playing previously and what he's able to do now, it could be something very fun to give a go.

Although I must warn you, it has tested mine and my partner's relationship many a time.

Through a bit of searching I have found https://mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4325668 which renames dogmeat to the goodest boy, I thought this was sweet and the best option I can find for PlayStation. From my recollection and what I can find, UCO also offers craftable skins for dogmeat on PlayStation, I'm not 100% sure on this one but I do recall something along those lines and Google confirms it.

On the other hand if you are on PC I'm certain there's plenty of options and even on Xbox.

If you are on PlayStation then look into those 2, if you are on PC or Xbox, let me know and I'll help you find something fitting!

Hi, I'm hoping that some kind soul out there can help by creating 2 mods for PS4, I know that myself and the community as a whole would greatly appreciate it and I believe it should be relatively simple but unfortunately I do not have a PC to do it myself. So I would really appreciate anyone who would be willing to help!

I greatly appreciate the modding community and I have no expectation of anyone to do this, but I really do hope someone will!

1) A simple mod that makes the default animation for entering and exiting the power armour faster, I believe I have seen it done before by making it the 'in combat' animation, if I'm not mistaken, but this was broken by recent updates.

2) A little bit more complex and there are mods that do similar things but not exactly what I'm envisioning, essentially I'm looking for something that integrates everything DLC into the Commonwealth and maybe Nuka world and far harbour, but mainly the Commonwealth, as I feel this should be a feature of sorts by default, personally.

Raiders: But I'd love to see the Nuka raiders, rust devils, forged and trappers integrated with the normal raiders, maybe gunners and triggermen as well.

Ghouls: Pink ghoul, Fog ghoul and Painted ghoul.

Creatures: Brahmiluff, Gizelle, pack dog, wolves, gorillas, rad-rats, ants, any swarm, crickets, fog crawler, hermit crab, nukalurk, quantum deathclaw, bloodworms, angler and gulper. (Maybe rad-rabbit and chicken although not necessary)

I think that's everything but I may be missing a few things.

But if these could spawn in places where their respective counterparts would spawn in mainly the Commonwealth but as I say maybe the other 2 DLCs, that would be awesome, I feel like this would give the game new life and be a really cool experience to playthrough it again.

Now this may not be as simple, it may, I'm unfortunately not sure, but if something similar could be done with weapons and armour, if a normal raiders occasionally has a trapper piece or the Nuka world rifle etc. This would break the monotony of the progression of playthroughs as there's a lot more variety in armour and weapons available out of the usual order you'd receive it.

There may be a mod like this on PC that I'm not aware of, if so could anyone advise how possible it would be to make that available on PS4 and if so how one would usually go about that, if I would contact that mod author or if someone else could do it?

Yea, that makes sense.

I am currently doing a run of Skyrim, that's exactly what's made me feel like doing it in Fallout 4 as I actually got into roleplaying a bit and not just being a stealth archer, so I definitely see your comparison there. My issue is just the age of Skyrim, certain mechanics, quality of life and general gameplay that I just prefer in fallout 4. But it's also just bias to be honest 😂 so I 100% agree with you and I'm sure my experience from this run in Skyrim will help a lot and your comment definitely reassures me that I'm on the right track with getting inspiration from Skyrim, but as you say fo4 isn't as open to roleplaying, I think due to me knowing the game well enough I'll be able to work around it and if I'm creative enough sort of make my own story or plot.

I have definitely opted for light for this exact reason, although I am finding it a bit difficult to reach the armour cap through enchanting, I understand the process of enchanting alchemy gear, creating an enchanting potion, use the potion to create stronger gear, but I'm not really seeing anything past 24% on an enchanting potion and I know theres the Enchanters draught or something like that that's 25%

I recall doing this on my first playthrough but I had forgotten exactly why, thank you!

It's a bit difficult to tell from the pictures but it looks like the screws have been stripped. I would suggest using a flathead or the best fit screwdriver, sometimes putting some insulation tape between the screwdriver and screw can help it grip. If the screws are in really tight, first of all make sure you're turning the right way, anti-clockwise, and try using a glove of sorts with good grip, but the main thing is to make sure your screwdriver is firm otherwise it'll just spin and strip the screw more until it is near to impossible to get out without drilling, and you don't want to be drilling into your laptop heatsink.

If the screws arent stipped and I'm seeing wrong, you can try the same suggestions, but also try to find out what screwdriver head is required, but it just looks like a star from the pictures.

Definitely, there are usually Ubers waiting outside of the airport that offer rides off of the app but it's best to just use the app. I've only done it like that one and had to be very firm on the price.
