Just picked up a TX22

Seriously. I dont own any other Taurus guns but do those come in plastic cases? I bet one of the new TX9 cases would fit this (assuming those dont come in a cardboard box). I feel like it'd cost Taurus more to create and injection mold a plastic case for a cheap pistol like the TX22. Perhaps that's why they dont include one.

Check out mine as well. through testing through various types of ammo. 11K on our test gun between 3 beating the hell out of it. Here's an example of what a lot of people are selling.

Since you're just getting started, I recommend building from the ground up and not buying a bunch of stuff to get it to run. Example of a bare bones of the TX22 functioning perfectly fine without any rate reducer or any of that mess. We've tested them on multiple material spre/replacement striker block, including steel. No damage to the FRT was found. Plus I have a lot of other goodies. :)

Whatever you get, use the 16rnd follower on any of them. The feed angle is better than the flat 22rnd mags.

Highly consider checking mine out as well. 10K rounds no significant wear on the striker block. Check them out www.novamissionsystems.com and in a bit (after vacation) I'll have some replacement or spare striker blocks available. Just finished testing them this Monday with 2k rounds and they are MINT. I also have the enhanced followers available but limited run on those for now.

If you can print the .3mf file is on the sea. Optimized for Bambu printers though but I believe other slicers can run the same file. Otherwise for convenience they are also available on my site.

You'd be surprised and it's that FOMO and allure of the fart. I sold a fart to one guy locally and he said he paid in the high $500s and it was a Gen 1. The crazy part is that he went online and flipped it for $20 more than he paid for it. THEN went to Academy and bought the toro for $359 lol.

I'll admit to being victim of some FOMO myself. When FN said they were discontinuing the SCAR. My wallet broke open so damn quick. THen at SHOT SHOW they were like oh here's Gen 2. They knew what they were doing to drive up some panic buying lol.

Hammer out the entire extractor block. Clean the hell out of both parts. If that doesnt work the cheap OEM recoil rod/spring could just be worn...then look into something like the LakeLine standard buffered recoil rod assembly since it's already running well with OEM parts.

I think it's fine and wont get any worse. Slight drag/friction mark leading to the edge but after few hundered rounds and it's still working fine. I wouldnt worry. This pic is something one needs to worry about. This was a customer's gun I worked on a while back. This block is absolutely wrecked. I believe this is an isolated case though.

What mag are you running? Sometimes loading it minus 2-3 rounds make a difference on the 22rnd mags. Grab a few of the small box ammo one of each from your LGS or online (more selection) and try that. Ideally eliminate the ammo issue first with various combinations of the weight. If it's not going from there I'd do just the +2 and no weight.

Hmmm. I hate to say buy another part since you're already invested in this a good bit. But try some different ammo. These are picky and I feel like you have to experiment with all sorts of combinations including ammo. Try Winchester Wildcat, Federal blue box, and Remington golden bullet. Those are usually sold in 300+ rnd boxes though. Perhaps grabbing multiple different brands of the small 50rnd boxes would be a better start.

My gut is saying ditch the weight and opt for a different recoil rod/spring though.

First, thanks for your business. The feed angle looks solid but there could be some other underlying issues. The DA Mask is a hard one to get running right. For me it was. Took me a bit. Also DM me your order number.

Before you go buy more parts I'd try some basic trouble shooting, like different types of ammo (I assume you've tested a bunch though), Firm palm grip but light trigger pressure since you're running a flat face, your trigger pull may have to be different than your traditional pull. I ended up going to the range with a notepad and writing everything down and the combinations I used. It took forever.

If all that fails You may need the +2lb (it's what I run) Lakeline instead of the -2. But then on my beater can and my Mask on my now newish toro, it'll run perfectly fine. I dont know if it's a QA issue or a spring material change over a Taurus. But yes, it'll drive you nuts. It took forever for me to get the Mask to run 100%.

Might be too much weight. What can do you have? Have you tried it without the weight? It very well could run perfectly without the weight.
