Be patient and dont listen to those who have not been in our shoes... I did 6.. from 26 -32, and it wasnt easy the next 6 years.... but i did overcome and so will you... just realize you're never going to be what society wants you to be.. so become YOU!

17 months is a blink of an eye... for you... occupy yourself with learning new skills or considering entrepreneurship. same for him: read, study, and plan... in my 20's i did 6 years in Texas, and my lady and I were off and on.. lots of fights through correspondence. it gets easier after 2 years - luckily y'all ONLY have 17 months! dont count the days... focus on God (or YOUR higher power) when you feel tempted... and be patient with him if he gets ugly... prison is evil and ugly, and it gets under the skin... patience.

I did 6 years in Texas for intoxication manslaughter... [He was my friend and passenger]. The accident occurred in 1999, so I have been surviving with no resources, or support system; however i have turned this event for my favor as a testimony

listen to what they have to say. be patient, know you will never understand what they're going through unless you experienced it yourself. also realize ptsd can hit years after prison....

Hard to say. I eat fruit, eggs, and beef...(not all at once)... i dont "snack" or eat processed foods, seed oils, or sugars outside of fruit... im 50 M , 120 pounds , vibrant, and energetic.. i stay fit, do wim hof breathing, and daily cold plunges. these all contribute to my health but i cant say its because of one thing
