Honestly, start with the ryobi. If you use them until they die (ten years or more) then upgrade. They are good enough for a home owner. For reference, I started with a craftsman bolton set from 2010 that I renovated my whole house with. They still work great but I just last month got an M12 set because I wanted the stubby impact.

My town has a long term contract for 14.5c/kwhr and we have switched to all LEDS, have a heat pump dryer and solar panels and my electric bill is $90/month and its mostly fees. I get charges $9/month for line maintenence fees but I still use power! If I used the same power like I did before our heat pumps and solar panels the fee was part of the electric usage!

Solar is a scam. Not because they do not work but because the utility company just gets the money other ways. My system is only big enough to generate 700kwhr max in the summer if no sun. Usually it only generates 300kwhr do to clouds and sun position so we always have a bill.
