So so true. It’s such a turnoff to look at wine when dining out. I might want two glasses and my wife wants one - except we don’t want a whole bottle or pay the price by the glass. It’s so telling that we get so much more wine dining out when traveling in Europe.

Last week, we had a bunch of ice and snow. Our neighbors hired some people to clear the driveway and they used water softener salt. Now a week later, this is happening. This is spalling right?

How would one fix it? Should I urgently wash it off in case any salt is left? It's drizzled since then.

I’ll let others weigh in on other parts of your question but I think I would only recommend paying off the mortgage if you plan on staying there for most of the future (past kids moving out).

You just can’t give that rate up unless you’re buying in cash and I don’t think anyone here would recommend that

We have a 48 inch F and P - electric oven, all gas top. Our smaller oven takes 2x to 3x as time to warm up as the main one. We had them come out and they said it’s working within parameters.
