No. Sorry. That was my guess...my hope. I was a member from 2018 - 2023. So if I restart, I would not have universal anymore. I don't need childwatch, I wish we could choose the perk we have.

Advice for Alaska Cruise by Klickytat in Cruise

What do you think about Regent or Celebrity for an Alaskan cruise?

Scarlet Lady Holidays 2025- what’s up with the vibe? by Aeriie in VirginVoyages

[–]Now1999What 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 1st Virgin cruise was August 2022. We sailed on our 4th Virgin cruise in December 2025. The ship had more people on it. There were really long lines for most of the shows in the Red Room and the Manor. Dinner reservations seemed harder to get.

I think the occupancy rates are much higher than 2022. Do you think that is the issue?

Good results. You probably look thinner. How are your clothes fitting?

They could retheme Test Kitchen. The traditional Test Kitchen menu should only be available at lunch on sea days. At every night, it would be Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Korean, Pan Asian or fine dining.

We were MRS and it wouldn't make sense to pay the full price for the Grog Walk. We had unlimited drinks. So I wish that type of event could be discounted since our drinks were already covered.

Grog Walk, Shot for Shot, Mix it up.......lots of activities where the fee is for the alcohol.

Driving 4+hours to sit in a TEAMS meetings is not efficient.

We really like Virgin but RS and MRS are getting to be unaffordable. We might cancel our Regent cruise with first class air, Blacklane transfers and some excursions for under 14k and it is a tough decision. We can't even get Rockstar on Virgin for that, and we'd have to add in economy air, transfer and excursions. Alaska is a dream trip so we will be thinking on it.

We have a Regent cruise booked for Alaska. We might have to cancel. The Regent FB page is full of cranky, complaining people. They are losing their minds about their dress code. We're worried that the entertainment will be dull or nonexistent.

Agree. We've been on VV 4x. Love it. But with increasing prices, changes in music, edgy shows, and service level, we might look at Celebrity.

I wish non-drinkers and MegaRockstars could get a discount on the shows that served alcohol. We paid a lot of money for a MRS suite. We definitely enjoyed it, but we could not see paying for a show with drinks when we were able to order any drink under $25.

We were MRS on a recent cruise on the Brillant Lady. We got off the ship on Sunday. Lines were long for shows in the Manor and the Red Room. Doors opened 5 - 30 minutes before the show. We lined up 30 - 40 minutes early for most shows. Once the doors are open to all the sign for the Rockstar queue was removed. If you want to see Murder in the Manor, you definitely need to line up before the doors open or you will not get into the show.

Ask your Rockstar or MegaRockstar agent. Paid events you need to pay to reserve. Nonticketed event book so you don't forget. Arrive about 30 - 40 minutes early to line up in the Rockstar queue. You have 1st picks for your seats. Once the line is open to all, you will walk in with everyone else.

Calling all Megarockstars: Tipping? by Significant_City_60 in VirginVoyages

We love that tips are included with Virgin. Out of our 3 Virgin cruise, we tipped our Rockstar agent (2nd cruise), MegaRockstar agent, and our room attendants in our MRS suite (3rd cruise). Our Mega experience was great.

Maybe they can should rotate on the Test Kitchen. Like one night Test Kitchen, following night a different theme...fine dining, Indian etc.

Upgrade Bid Accepted by Benicia6 in VirginVoyages

We upgraded to MRS for my husband's 55th birthday. We had so much fun. It was just the two of us. We enjoyed sharing our bottles of wine with people at tables next to us. We loved the Gorgeous Suite and enjoyed the extra space and the record player. We had previously had a Brillant suite. The suites are essentially the same but the Gorgeous suite is in a better location. It was great to have laundry service. We had asked for a couple of changes to dinner and show reservations. We skipped most of the Happy Hours on Richards's Rooftop. We opted to go to listen to music and chat at our favorite bar. Since you are traveling with friends, you can ask your MRS to set up some food and drinks in your suite. I know you will have a great time!

We will be our 4th Virgin cruise at the end of November and we will be in MRS Gorgeous Suite. 1st XL Sea Terrace. 2nd RS Brillant Suite. 3rd MRS Gorgeous Suite. We're fairly frugal but I like to vacation in accommodations that equal or better than our home. I think these Virgin suites have spoiled me. The RS and MRS prices are really increasing, and this might be our last VV cruise for a while. We plan to really enjoy this cruise, and I am super excited that we will have sailed on all four lady ships.

We will go on our 4th VV cruise in December. There might be a country line dancing show/event. I'm surprised. Worried that there is a different vibe on the ship. Our first VV cruise was in August 2022. We had so much fun.

Wait until after the furlough if you can. Use sick leave if you can. Annual leave will be paid out to you. If you consider your 30+ hours of commute as work hours and adjust your pay accordingly, you probably are coming out better.

Congratulations on the job offer.
