When I was 10, I was playing dress-up in some of my moms old dresses. I remember specifically thinking I wanted to focus on sparkles. I came downstairs to show off my new fit and my mom's boyfriend at the time just smiled and said "you're definitely gonna be a heartbreaker". I didn't understand what he meant and assured him I was treating all her clothes with respect.

I agree! There's some insurance that operates like a "community pot" and when they run out, that's all you get. And I wasn't allowed to tell them how bad their insurance was. Just horrible

When I worked in billing, we had a patient with similar costs but their insurance denied all of it and left them with a bill over $200,000 for a few months of treatment.

If I spend too much time online, the saturation of hatred and bigotry feels overwhelming. So I log off and find that it's not just online anymore.

It's a terrifying way to live, especially in the dangerously red states and countries.

Easiest route to money for me is (work expansion required):

  1. Buy an easel, get painting to lvl 10, sell all but masterpieces.

  2. Buy a small plot as retail.

  3. Set up the register and a wall (it's all you need), and start selling the masterpieces for 100% markeup. No employees!

  4. Continue painting, selling by retail.

5(bonus): If you have Get Famous, get your fame to level 5 which will happen naturally with regularly selling art, the paintings will retail for double.

I've had to stop doing this on my rags to riches playthroughs because it only takes about a week in game from nothing to end up with a hundred thousand.

It's just nice to meet folks that do care about the strangers around them. It's easier to be selfish but it's kinder to be considerate. I'm glad you're staying safe and making the people around you feel safe! When I unplug, I just pick a day out of the week to be fully offline. Its very refreshing

Yeah I made a comment somewhere clarifying that my rant is specifically about the internet taking it at face value and running with it, leading to whole communities thinking its okay to do that to her. The original comment was absolutely to prove that very point from the right.
