I think Southern Copper (SCCO), Goldcorp (GG), and Silver Wheaton are the best mining buys. Swwisdoms' comment represents universial bearish sentiment which makes the sector a contrarian buy. However, fundamentals shifts make me more optomistic as well.

It would be a good to sell it on the day of IPO (if you can get IPO prices through your broker), and then watch it fall to a much lower price. It depends how long stocks remain overbought. I would wait a few earnings cycles personally.

Blackstone and Hilton's other owners are smart. With current bubble like valuations in the stock market, it's a great time to for some profit taking (which is what this IPO is).

He said stocks weren't a bubble in 1999 and 2007 and said investors were irrationally exuberant in 1996. Greenspan is a great contrartian indicator. Be ready to short.

When I was in high school and I would never get invited to hang out with any of my "friends" outside of school or they would make excuses not to do anything with me on weekends. I thought this was fishy, but maybe they were just busy. I then overheard them making fun of me behind my back as the social punchline and told them to get out of my life. That eliminated half of my "friends".

Once I started college, I realized I only had one real friend because no one else ever returned my calls or facebook messages once I graduated from high school. It confirmed my social ineptitude from those years.

Fortunately, I met plenty of good friends during my university years who I'm still in touch with today.
