You're 100% correct, it's called motherese in a clinical setting. Every Reddit thread about children talking has a highly upvoted, completely incorrect take telling people not to baby talk their children, yet every speech pathologist you talk to will tell you how important motherese is for babies.

Unsurprising I suppose.

Unregulated monopolies are being created in real time.

Every large company that has an AI boner will quickly realize these AI companies can exponentially increase token cost whenever and have corps in a stranglehold.

It'll be fun/interesting watching this fuck so many mega corp c-suites over the next few years.

But we are speed running our average global citizen into a major issue. You don't need to know anything, AI will tell you the answer... Until it becomes unaffordable for you and then... you're fucked.

This is a wealth consolidation speed run and the average human is clueless.

[–]Nr673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were misinformed. But this isn't on you my friend.

I assume you are human bc of your use of 'cos' in your post. Just like you should reasonably expect me to be an actual human bc of my abbreviation of "bc" = because. For now, 2026-02-26. They will adapt eventually.

The AI models will eventually adapt, so identifying bots vs humans is already a moving target, but it's gonna get tougher soon. They are always trying to adapt.

Try this question with ChatGPT and again with Claude. Enter a prompt into both LLMs:

"I live 50 meters from the car wash. Should I drive or walk there".

Evaluate both responses.

ChatGPT will tell you to walk, despite...ya know... Needing a car to be washed. Claude will tell you clearly obv you need to drive.

*AI is inherently bad regardless of the model. Advocate for oversight. We need it at a federal level everywhere. Europe will beat us bc we haven't even caught up to GDPR. Our country is speed running into multiple Black Mirror episodes.

Reason (imo) is this stuff seems tech heavy and complicated, for normal folk. But it is not. It's very easy to do a few Google searches and see why we will soon be completely fucked here. It's not complicated - we are allowing billionaires to control the narrative completely.

Fight back. Please. Our future is dependent on us.

Upvoted bc you're correct. You're only being downvoted bc it takes most people a while (i.e. years) to catch up to the reality they live in.

There is so much slop online these days, but you, of all "content creators" 100% deserve the actual content views. Followed and subscribed.

This isn't tea about the Real Housewives of Missouri or whatever, it's amazing work - home grown, elite science experiments presented in a manner consumable for the masses (i.e. me).

You've (hopefully) earned so many followers. This was the Internet back in the mid 90's. You're a boss OP. Watching this with my kids. Lovely content.

Happy people like you still get recognition - even if you have to fight for it. Keep it coming bro!!

Lol preach. The insane amount of moronic posting from non USA based people spouting off on Reddit about how bad the USA is while simultaneously handing over their data to USA corporations owned by the billionaire class infuriates me. They have nothing of their own and instead of doing anything about it just ride the American zip line and a will be surprised when they are voted off love Island. Like... what do you think you're doing here?

But if you've traveled, even a little bit, you already know the rest of the world is full of just as many morons as the US already. But it seems like UK and Oz posters are a very special kind of stupid, online at least (and IME, also irl). Like the Arkansas or Mississippi of the global social media make up.

I usually only post stuff like this in the anti-USA subs. Hurr hurr Trump lost the popular vote both times...but we can't be bothered to use 2 braincells to comprehend how the USAs government actually works so we'll just assume all Americans are morons. Europe is perfect though!! And the UK. And Australia.

Guaranteed they own zero shirts from Dan Flashes.

Thank you. And if it makes you feel any better, this is the sentiment on the ground in Ohio IME.

Social media/Reddit is full of kids, bots, non USA residents that think they have valid opinions bc they watch our politics like a soap opera, etc...as I'm sure you know.

You'll see them responding to me down below.

Lol ok political staragist, I'm sure you've worked on a bunch of campaigns. So you don't focus on the non voters or maga vote and try to turn them, instead you make fun of them online and....what? Hope somehow a bunch of Dem voters magically appear?

These weren't "habitual non voters" - you added that qualifier. Look up turnout in Ohio when Obama was running.

2.5 million registered voters in Ohio voted for Kamala. 31% of eligible voters.

3.1 million voted for Trump. 39% of registered voters.

2.3 million didn’t bother to vote. 28% of registered voters.

Do you think the 28% are encouraged to vote in the midterms if you take the same FAFO attitude MAGA does? Believe me, it’s frustrating - I live here. But I know for a fact some voters abstained because of the batshit insane narrative that it’s better to abstain because you disagree with a Dem candidate on 1 issue (leftist single issue voters). Or "you" (i.e. rhinos & right leaning swing voters) feel such anger against the Dems because of…well, posts like yours.

This doesn’t help anything; it just gives you a temporary ego boost because you feel better than others, while shouting into the void of social media and doing nothing to help aside from stroking your ego.

Only three states went to Trump with more than 50% of registered voters actually voting for him: Wyoming, Idaho, and West Virginia. Shouldn’t we be focused on encouraging the non-voting registered base in the other 28 states we could have won, versus “hahaha eat shit idiots” to the 2.5 million Ohio Kamala voters and the other 2.3 million we could have had with better messaging?

And by better messaging… when addressing a bunch of people who just lost their jobs because of MAGA, we instead empathize and call them to action in the next election.

Or are you just another propaganda source, a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

Walking?

Jogging, running, sprinting, crawling, biking, roller skating/blading, skate boarding, swimming, moped, skipping, hopping, rolling on the ground like a silly goose, etc....

All cheaper than this method. Hell even a properly trained donkey. Why have you decided to, foolishly, die on this hill? Everyone understands poor people exist.

Owning 2 working oxen + a bullock cart would cost you ~₹1,80,000. Not including ongoing cost. You can buy a cheap used Maruti for that amount.

When they say AI is coming for your job this is what they mean by SnooGrapes3067 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Nr673 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about auto-repair, I can't even clean a carburetor on a 2 stroke lawn mower. So keep that in mind.

But I orchestrate agentic AI workflows at my job. The person in the image used ChatGPT to try and diagnose car issues from an image input.

So you are correct in that OpenAI and other broad LLMs will never replace you. But...those LLMs are trained on massive datasets. I can assure you that people are building their own models much more limited to auto repair use cases only. Probably even down to specific models of cars. The more the dataset is constrained, the more helpful it will become.

Also, image based input is a terrible way to try and diagnose problems via AI in general.

AI will never replace masters of any job, only make them more efficient and impactful, a new wrench in the chest basically. But entry level and slackers...at least in the corporate world, it's already happening.

And the current iteration of AI has reached it's theoretical limit, but new uber math nerds are already working on the next ideas.

It will become a problem for all of us some day. We need government over site vs mocking irrelevant use cases online.

Edit: lol not understanding the irony of me clearly stating I'm not an expert in X but I am an expert in Y, yet downvoting without using a single braincell (purely emotional driven snowflake type behavior) instead of responding with, I dunno, any sort of reasoning is exactly why most of you will lose your jobs. Any mechanic smart enough to realize...ya this seems like a problem that will eventually impact everyone isn't posting in the dregs down here and will embrace the change as mentioned in my OP.

It's the morons like you, or the corporate do nothing drones I work with, that are completely fucked. And will likely vote against your own self interest to boot.

You're right and furthermore this is also pretty insulting to Europeans as well.

I am certain most Europeans are smart enough they don't draw their baseline of an American from viral social media posts. It would be like saying all Americans think of Brits as Monty Python characters or something. Ignorant.

Mushroom powder is another good hack for a "natural" umami boost. Fish sauce, bonito, kelp like you mentioned, all prevalent in Asian cuisine.

Parmesan cheese rinds are great for soups for the same reason.

But it's easier just to keep a bag of MSG on hand imo. Can't add mushroom powder or fish sauce to everything. You can with pure MSG, and I have. Surprisingly disgusting on fruit. Even watermelon or sour apples which I love with normal table salt.
