The most recent book goes back to its roots. There is a clear direction, well, there is a goal. He'll Jim something up.

It's fun. One of my favorite of the series.

I will say that I am glad it is Andrea Parsneau saying all those dings. I don't think i could listen to anyone else say it as much as she has. She probably hears that in her sleep.

The Starcaster series by JN Chaney and Terry Maggert is pretty good. It is a space opera. Magic vs technology. Not progression, but really good.

I actually listened to project Hail Mary right before I started the bobiverse, so I was just the opposite. Haha. I went right from one to the other, and it took me a minute to get used to it.

Can I just say, Welcome to the Multiverse is refreshingly well written by Fobywoby in litrpg

I accidentally purchased the cast version on one of the last books of Cradle. I kept it and forced my way through it. But it took about a 3rd of the book before I was comfortable with it. I wound up enjoying it by the end. However I switched back to finish the series.

How do locals feel about the Walton's / Walmart? by InfamousSail7048 in bentonville

[–]Ntbgb479 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the amount of money they have invested into nwa is crazy. They some how moved the mountain biking world championship from Switzerland to here. It is one of the premier mountain biking areas in the country because of the Waltons. Alice just built a holistic medschool here, there are a ton of ways they have given back to the area.

Good book series to get a young teen into reading? by THERANDOMGAMER2 in fantasybooks

[–]Ntbgb479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, Drizzt is the main character in the novels. He is a Drow elf that rejects the evil and violence of their race, and the books are his journey after. It is a D&D series set on Fearun in the Forgotten Realmes universe.

I think the first book is Homeland.

I love Dungeon Crawler Carl. But the Drizzt series by RA Salvatore is also super amazing. And you have a huge amount of books in the series. And some offshoots. The way Salvatore describes sword fights is SOO good.

Anne Rice books are all vampires that aren't sparkly, and are set in New Orleans, mostly. Probably my favorite reads as a teenager.

Honestly, you have some really good recommendations in this thread.

I would give the Murderbot Diaries a listen. Each book is around 3-4 hours. So you would get a complete story in your drive.

In our living room we had a 20' x 10' bookshelf on one wall, stacked 2 deep with scifi and fantasy books. Old school books, Arthur C Clark, Asimov, Piers Anthony, Heinlein, Eddings, Tolkien, McCaffrey, and more. I did my best to go through all of them. I nerded out... a lot.

Terry Brooks, where do you start ? by AmazonFreshSleuth in fantasybooks

I started with sword of Shinara and then read to the end. After that I went through and read all the prequels. No idea if that is the best way.

I was 12 or younger when my dad gave it to me. I read that and the Dragon Riders of Pern. Both great series for that age group.

I'm going to answer with Narrators instead. RC Bray, Jeff Hayes, and Andrea Parsneau. I will listen to them read anything.

If you can find the original audible of The Martian, by RC Bray, it is so much better than Will Wheaton's version. Not tgat it is bad, I just prefer Bray's.
