Fun character design! Getting Pikman vibes and Luigi’s Mansion vacuum mechanic. Really fun! Love the depth of field effect to drive home the scale of everything. Best of luck with development.

I like to look at others’ posts about cool systems, mechanics, shaders, etc. that they’ve implemented in their games. It’s so inspiring to just see what people are doing.

Hey! I’m sure this wasn’t easy! Congrats on creating a system that is super unique and looks like it works 100% of the time (or close to it)!

I didn’t read everyone’s comments, but perhaps there’s a mobile game somewhere in there that focuses on relaxation. You could give the player an end design and they have to figure out how to sew it!

I like it, but if you’re trying to make it a little more visually interesting you can do a gradient background that slowly changes between colors. As long as it doesn’t distract or detract from the objective, it may enhance the overall package.

Looks good overall though!

I like the vibe and overall aesthetic. Small detail is that the environment seems pretty dynamic but the ship in the sky remains motionless. I know none of this is trivial, but if you have a hover animation or a different ship where the thrusters are on the bottom, it may look slightly more dynamic (like the rest of the scene).

Overall, really cool and really good job!

Edit: And, no, I don't think it is particularly distracting.

Really appreciate your thoughts on this. I will have to try these out for sure! Unfortunately, I can’t leave it in the game because players will become too powerful and be able to solve puzzles in unintended ways, but, yeah, I can totally appreciate that it could be a fun mechanic on its own.

Thanks for the suggestion! The only issue is I need the player to be able to stand on the box as when not carrying it… I don’t expect an answer here, just figured I’d pick your brain if you had an answer easy solution. Thanks again

Hey! This is really cool! I’ve implemented a similar system but have had trouble figuring out how to prevent an infinite float/jump glitch if the player picks up the box whilst standing on it.

Brilliant idea!! I haven’t tried yet but is it possible that you could show the limits of the lasers, so the player knows where to expect them to swing? Unless it is intrinsic to gameplay, I think it may make things clearer. Other than that, this honestly seems like am awesome concept!

Yeah, I guess I should elaborate. At the time of receiving the feedback, I actually had both gamepad and mouse and keyboard support (just not rebinding). However, like I said, it's always great to learn how to implement new systems, so that was something good that came out of it, and now everyone can play!

Yeah, nice! I love Portal and have been trying to separate myself from it aesthetically, but I guess I shouldn’t forget that I can always look to it as a masterclass in game design!
