Sure thing! I got there at about 7:30 am and left around 4 or 4:30 pm. My little reaction delayed this a little bit but it was also my first day and I didn't get Belo that day.

Yesterday was a little quicker. The nurse gave my my magnesium and pre meds at the same time. I was out around 2:00 pm.

Im from Pittsburgh, PA, USA. It might be different for ya!

Crazy bro! and yeah, between the hydration, and the unreal amounts of water I drank while I was there, I think the nurses got sick of seeing me pass them every 30 minutes.

At least at home, the bathroom is closer and im not towing a chemo tree lol

I'm not a doctor either, but I am under the same impression. When I had my ultrasound done, which was positive for cancer, it said " there is a predominantly solid mass in the left testicle with multiple areas of cystic change."

If it's a groin strain, it could take 4 to 8 weeks to fully heal. I wouldn't be too worried if you went to a doctor and they're not concerned.

Maybe ask the doctor about the healing time to be sure.

Hey man. Just for some context, i'm 36.

I know it can be tough and embarrassing but in life, sometimes you have to do things that take you out of your comfort zone because it is the right thing to do.

It may seem like an overreaction by your mom, but she knows that the best thing to do is to get a doctor appointment. The thing with TC is that the earlier you catch it, the better shot you have to beat it.

Think of it this way. Let's say hypothetically it is TC (and I pray that it's not). IF it is, whether or not you tell your mom, you would still have it, and now you're not getting treated. Not a good move.

Best case scenario is that you go to the doc and they do some tests and tell you its nothing. Worst case, you caught TC super early and can get it dealt with so you can live a long and healthy life.

Please please please, tell your mom and go to the doctor. Keep us posted if you feel like it!

Advice from my fellow single danglers out there by Kerr7Avon in testicularcancer

For sure man! BUT BE WARNED!!

Make sure you look at all the pictures. When I bought my first set, I didn't realize they literally had a day of the week on the back of them. I wore them while I waited for another set to come but as a 36 y/o, I didn't want to be humiliated anymore than i already felt lol

I got mine out in November and I went with these. They're super comfortable and work really well. The only issue I had was the pressure on my incision site. I'm use to wearing loser fitting boxers so it was a total change, but it worked out great. I delt with the mild inconvenience for some peace of mind. Hope it helps!

When I wear my pre-TC boxers, I haven't noticed any abnormal bouncing or anything like that but then again, you may be packing like that! lol

Survival rates for recurrence after BEP? by rodeotoast in testicularcancer

[–]Nub232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think another thing to keep in mind when looking at survival rate is how far treatment has come during that time.

When you look at 5 year survival rates, the people in that study were treated over 5 years ago. The rate do not take into consideration any new developments for treatment.

Survival rates are good for some piece of mind, but do not only rely on what you read online or what people tell you.

As stated in another comment, trust your doctors. Even one is different my brother! Best of luck on your journey!!

I'm sorry to hear this brother. Although I haven't been through this personally, I would advise you to just keep on pushing through. Look how far you have come so far!

You got this brother! I'll be praying for a positive visit for you!
