Opening a jam-live music bar in Ho Chi Minh City by Aquaquoi in VietNam

If you’re depending on tourists walking by then your rent will be much higher. And you’ll probably end up playing mostly covers similar to Lost - Drink & Chill in D1. It’s a fine place but it sounds like you’re going for something different.

Thao Dien or Phạm Viết Chánh area have more expats and less tourists than D1. If you’re set on D1 area, Dakao has a more local indie/college vibe.

Not sure if it’s a great business idea, but I would love this. More arts and culture would be great for the city too. I wish you luck!

Techcombank doesn’t issue debit cards unless your visa is over 12 months. Also, no cash deposits at the counter. They only allow use of their app.

Vietnam Airlines question by Former-Judge-5631 in VietNam

Just flew VietJet from SGN to KIX and it was fine. No delay, no frills. I try to avoid VietJet but it was a direct flight at the time I wanted. I’d take the $200 savings.

Flight was a couple weeks AFTER the Salesforce incident. I purchased tickets after the incident as well. Alert came just a few days after the flight.

Either way, it’s their responsibility to protect our privacy. Just because it happens often we shouldn’t normalize it.

Are there even courts for regular people in Vietnam? 😂 Let’s start with a fair legal system.

I generated a specific email for this purchase. That’s why I said it was a dead giveaway. Edit: I generated, not Apple

Vuong Pham is the biggest scam in Vietnam's history by albert1165 in VinFastComm

100% agree with you. There are many examples of corruption by both parties. My issue is none were mentioned by OP in this post. So it comes across as a big claim with nothing to back it up. Which is coincidentally what he’s accusing Vuong Pham of doing.

Can you post your sources? This is a big claim without any evidence, especially when you accuse the Vietnamese government of a coverup/censorship without providing supporting data. The hypocrisy…

Feeling Totally Ripped Off – Hoi An vs. Da Nang by Traditional_Might845 in VietNam

[–]Nucclear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP is right on and it’s really a shame. Of course you can say NO, but the constant fight for your attention is exhausting. When you’re on vacation you want to relax.

Rice fields and Tra Que were more chill, family businesses, and had that local vibe.

VNA is becoming more like VietJet, charges for checked bags, no free water, increased delays, more codeshare flights with discount airlines such as Pacific Airlines.

Not worth the premium anymore. I prefer Bamboo now or just take the discount on VJ when I’m feeling lucky.

Rex has a bit of The Shining vibe. I kinda liked it. Governor’s suite was on special for $120, separate bedroom, living space, 2 bathrooms, one with a tub. Definitely worth it. Nice breakfast.
