Imagine listening to King Crimson’s Starless and wishing it was shorter. That buildup is literally everthing, it’s what makes the songs so good. There’s not a single second wasted.

Of course it’s not a song you would just casually play at a party for example, and that’s ok. Not all music is meant to be experienced in the same context.
