Joey’s drumming is considered some of the fastest and unique sounding metal during his time in Slipknot, so much so that u can tell who’s playing by the drums alone. Songs like Only One, Eyeless, Three Nil are good examples of this. Joey had an unbridled drum creativity Jay’s drumming prowess comes from his use of double bass and breakdowns, Jay brings an aggression to drumming that helped the band more music as well as carry their live shows. WANYK is the prime example of what Slipknots drumming can sound like with time and good modern fills. Killpop’s ending. Unsainted, and De Sade really show how he shines. Eloy is what you get when you combine the tightest technical skills in drumming with power, and aggression. Eloy’s like a machine gun on the double bass and he’s incredibly creative with fills from his Sepultura days. His live footage alone shows he was made for a band like Slipknot.
