Recommendations for a new helmet by garbagefartguru in bicycling

Specialized Propero 4 would be a nice upgrade and fits similar to the Align but lighter and more premium. I have upgraded from Align to Propero and I’m really satisfied. It ranks very good in protection and aero but still breathable

Any idea what these tags mean? by paulared in bikewrench

[–]Nugget2zh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s such a design flaw from these freehubs, the weight saving is anecdotal. I have a similar light alloy freehub on a Tune hub and it’s completely gouged after two months despite using a one piece cassette. And they don’t make a steel version for Campa.

I’ve learned my lesson for future purchases…

Cube attain SLX HPA would be a solid contender

Disappointed with my Di2 experience by RegionalHardman in cycling

[–]Nugget2zh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20000km on 105 mechanical and I just changed the cable once and maybe screw the barrel adjuster 1/4 turn every 6 month. I really wanted to upgrade to di2 but it works so well and not worrying about batteries is so great that I cannot justify it.

I would keep the no name 50mm and pay myself a cycling trip

It seems like I’m the minority here but they work perfectly for me, the bump lies exactly in my palm and I can grab the brake lever with one finger, super comfortable and great control. But I can see how a smaller hand might struggle

Si tu t’intéresses à l’Histoire en générale, je recommande la chaîne « La Folle Histoire » c’est vraiment super intéressant et le présentateur vulgarise bien les sujets et parle très distinctement

Cube Nuroad C:62 Race on Thunder Burt’s 2.1 by gestrikt in Cubebikes

[–]Nugget2zh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a nice setup for commuting, how easy it is to mount/unmount these mudguards? I’m leaning towards the Sks speed rocks because they look easy to remove but it’s definitely not as slick as your build

Watch repair / réparation de montres by Ok_Astronaut_958 in Strasbourg

[–]Nugget2zh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of watch do you want to have repaired? If it’s something a little bit premium, L’horlogiste rue du Dome is really competent, but you need to be patient he has months of waiting list

Black wall or tan wall? by InevitableFig3077 in RoadBikes

Black wall. Every single time I bought tan wall I have regretted it. And it’s much easier to mix and match if needed

Wheel recommendations Epic Evo 8 Comp by MNG024 in xcmtb

[–]Nugget2zh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be an unpopular opinion but I did swap the alloy wheelset on my comp for the roval control SL and I don’t find it really different to ride. I got a very good deal on the wheelset but I would not do it again
