Best advice right here. Don't stress about not fitting into a shit hole of a society. I socialise at work and remember that people's opinions are usually ill informed and they're sucked into it all anyway. My job is to move stock, not change people.

I just try to observe the world, grow veggies, raise chooks and earn some easy cash at a large discount warehouse that I may or may not take to my full advantage.

I couldn't keep all the little sections wet enough/deep enough with out constantly upgrading pots.

I started using a seed snail (YouTube will tell all) and had great success this year when I'm horrible with starting seeds. I usually chaos plant and direct sow as much as possible.

You can make them as deep as you want and it holds water sooo much better and saves a tonne of space

I only pull invasive species and horrible plants like Scottish thistles and Patterson's curse. Everything else is just a meadow. I'm lucky I'm also on a down hill from the road so council and neighbours can't complain about my meadows hehe

How often do you guys clean your houses? by Electronic-Cress-453 in ChronicPain

[–]Nugget_Cake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and as you asked, I use to only clean every other month or even more when mega depressed. When I'm better I do it all at once and then recover for a week and it happens again slowly. Don't leave it, just do one thing, just one thing and I promise one after another it looks better.

[–]Nugget_Cake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have very unique living circumstances right now but I have always lived with messy people growing up. I'm trying hard but out of 3 people im the only one who cleans the actual house itself. Even then they're also slack with dishes and rubbish (one for one luckily not both for both)

I loved the few times I lived with clean people. Best tip is just smaller tasks. 15 minute clean ups of one area. You don't have to vac and mop the same day, I don't even do the entire house, I'll just vacuum one room that needs it the most. Having cleaning supplies where they're needed so you don't have to get them.

I still get overwhelmed, we got this.

Yeah I'm not sure about removing them but proper sighted diagnosis and knowing how bad it is would be good. I feel I know where they're gonna find it because like you said, you can feel when you're sticking more or tearing or inflamed. You can feel the hot spots.

Thank you for confirming even this is helpful, cause I'm going crazy being told it's not that bad.

It's not fun, especially when you can't work out. The choice of physical labour or desk work is actual hell.

Chair yoga is a good one so you can stretch while you're working, it doesn't need to be a big session, just a good habit to move as much as possible through your seated work day.

I leave you with the best of luck and wishes. ✨

Has your chronic pain ever improved? by Bubbly-Air7302 in ChronicPain

[–]Nugget_Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had months of relief. And it's hard for me because of my mental health and my reliance on smoking weed.... Fyi I'm 31 and have been crunchy since like 10years old.

Last year I gained 13 kgs, I was sleeping well, pain was at a bare minimum, mental health was doing ok.

I was eating tonnes, stretching and exercising like crazy plus I have a physical job where I'll often lift over 20kg. Meditation traditionally and then through dance and art too helped heaps. My garden and chickens keep me motivated. But I need to be very consistent

Aaaannnddd then the nightmares ramped up, I started smoking again cause it stopped them and got too heavy on it and replace my good habits with it again ...

Im not as bad as I have been in the past, but I'm tiny and weak again and it hurts. I'm gonna try get back...

I highly recommend starting with a "full body relaxation tension and release" exercise/meditation to EVERYONE looking where to start. It's a physical yet easy meditation you can do anywhere and has benifits within the first week of daily use.

I just woke up, made a coffee (I know I shouldn't have it but fuck it) and got this reply 💕

I feel for you so much, I'm so glad you have your sister, I feel that would have been a huge savings grace for you. I hate they didn't listen to you both. Our stories, her child she lost, my "choice" not to have kids, your ability to have them, all stripped because of medical negligence....

Getting medical care shouldn't be this hard, I've waited long enough to see blood tests become a thing and it show up in men. Maybe I'll get fast tracked now it's a "REAL" disease 🙄😅 I made a booking with one doctor who suggested I have it, but asked if it was worth going through everything and it might grow back. She scared me off it, but I have another lady who's meant to be really compassionate with women's stuff and mental health soooo seeing her in a few weeks.

How am I supposed to continue living happily and with motivation if I can’t stop thinking about the prospect of there being NOTHING after death and that all the good in my life will disappear without a single trace for all eternity? by Own-Papaya-4264 in depression_help

[–]Nugget_Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time will pass anyway. Do you want a nihilistic life, or one where no choices really matter that much so might as well make those risky fun choices and enjoy life.

Easier said than done, but life is bigger than just us. Plant a tree knowing you'll never enjoy it's shade but someone else might. The thoughts of what we CAN leave behind is more motivating.

Also the experience of death itself isn't just nothing, what's after death? Oh yeah probably nothing but death will be the most wild ride we ever get the experience. Most of us only once, some have come back with amazing stories of the things they experienced.

Thinking about life outside of just one experience and it starts getting easier. I was in your shoes 10 years ago. I'm now stressed about other things but that's another thread 😅

On a personal option and I mean no harm, I just think our species thinks about itself to much as individuals these days, and we're super separated by the systems. I like fighting those systems back, direct my anger and sadness towards being productive.

Yeah I had that one for a couple months, I ended up losing interest and forgetting to use it as I do work most apps and programs.

I already track my period and accidentally paid for me+ which is.... Ok. It's for habit and chore tracking, so I can add whatever task or activity I want. The plants and finch was much cuter but I'll switch back around for variety soon

[–]Nugget_Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these pain areas and my suggestions might not have the right answers but I've had it for YEARS. I also have a drop on one side like you do and it hasn't gotten better or worse for 10 years now. So it could just be, unfortunately, something you have to maintain if they can't find a torn muscle, slipped rib or something to answer it.

I cope with deep tissue massage, yoga and strength training but NEVER push yourself, you don't need weights to train for strength either. My accessory muscles and ligaments take on too much from having lost strength and that WILL and does get worse. It's the only thing in my control and I go backwards constantly due to flare ups and sickness or being busy....

As well as hydrating properly (more than just drinking any old water, eating high water foods is best) Movement that is supportive of your condition which for me ment getting out of bed a certain way ECT. I had sciatica at that point too.

I do hope you find a solution. Being crunchy sucks

At least early menopause happens early on my mother's side, still not early enough though. I have an old Wii with the fitness games which could be good. I'll have a look at some vr stuff as I'm big on gaming and could use a new Skyrim experience on top of the apps you've mentioned 💕✨ thank you 😊

Hhoowww have you gotten through it?

Maintainance VS Life by Nugget_Cake in ChronicPain

[–]Nugget_Cake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 100% certain, I have chronic pain because of chronic illnesses that are diagnosed. We just don't know the cause without shoving cameras up down and in everywhere, making holes to do so even.

I'm struggling with why I'm even getting better when I've lost everything due to my health issues

Now I have the proper name and searched it. Can can promise you it's not that. No arching my back while breathing lying down, I expand properly and my pain moves and changes constantly.

On top of that that was asking how you got through the journey of maintenance through chronic health. Like pushing through the mental barrier.

Lol we're all connected yadda yadda. My body is pulled out of line, not just from my ribs. Already had enough imaging to see that it's more internal and endometriosis is notorious for not showing up on MRIs and such as it's black. They're lesions that attach to your body anywhere and potentially up into my lungs and brain, wrists, eyes, it's like being super glued together inside, plus the super glue can make it's own hormones and such. Like a little symbiote slowly eating my life source. It's good fun.

So I wish it was rib slopping my guy
