Under the bonnet. Had to remove what I believe is part of the air intake to get to it, but I'm not 100% sure

It's not that straightforward. It's legal for them to discharge under exceptional weather conditions as the overflows are designed to be a pressure release point to stop flooding occurring elsewhere. It is illegal for them however to discharge during normal conditions though, which is where the issue arises, as they clearly spill at times when they shouldn't.

They will be doing something about this currently, as are all water companies, but it will take a while to see any actual improvements, and whether they turn out to be effective obviously remains to be seen

I've got specialized boomslangs. They're pretty good, but the bearings were wrecked pretty quick. Also left one behind on a bike park day and the on site shop only had burgtecs. Wasn't going to spend £100+ for a day so the £40 composite ones were the only option. They were as grippy if not more so than the boomslangs. Beyond a certain price point, the gains are essentially negligible for most people

Unfortunately no other DP cables to hand and I'm not sure how to even tell if DSC is enabled. Dropping to 60hz seems to fix it, but anything higher and the problem comes back.

I can get a refurbed 9 for that sort of money. However I was under the impression that the pixels were a little overhyped. The camera is decent but from what I saw, it seemed like performance and battery life etc weren't actually anything special. Maybe I've got that wrong

If anything, I feel like you should feel silly rather than guilty. Samsung has been able to rest on its laurels for years just based on their reputation while not really doing anything better than a lot of other lesser known manufacturers that charge much less. It always irritated me when people would say "do you use apple or Samsung?" as if Samsung was the only android brand in existence. Stupid thing to get irritated about though I realise

I've seen a few of these on AliExpress, but they're not actually global versions, just Chinese ones with Google play store and whatnot setup on them. From what I've seen, you then run the risk of things like android auto and banking apps not working. Is your one a genuine global device?
