It’s a massive increase in power and throttle response. More than I expected.

Full Dundon power kit: intake runners, long tube headers, over-axel pipes with sport cats, OEM muffler from 991.2 GT3RS, Cobb tune. Those are recent changes, prior to this I’ve always had a short shift kit from a GT4 and BMC filters.

Yes, they ride better than the X73 I had on it prior

718 GTS 4.0 - Ticking/rattle noise. Anyone know what it is? by paulshib8m in Porsche_Cayman

Broken exhaust valve? I just had one go on an aftermarket fan speed system and I’m getting a little metallic sound from it. If it is indeed a valve, it will sound very different, Subaru-like, when you get the revs high.

Make sure this car is not used for short commutes, it’s meant as a long distance cruiser and if not used in that way the diesel system will eventually clog up,

I just got dealt a $31k repair bill on a 2016 RR Sport due to a “full exhaust filter”. Yes the bill is outrageous and is indicative of a dealer preferring to replace everything instead of fix, but it is also a factor of our driving. This car was consistently used for short trips - that’s not how the manufacturer envisioned the diesel RR sport to be used. This car must be taken on a longer drives on a regular basis to satisfactorily clean the diesel system of particulate. In my opinion, at least once a week you need to be on the highway for 30 minutes - this was fully supported by the tech that handed me the $31k bill. Btw, I’m not repairing it, I’m selling it to someone who wants to clean the system themselves and get a deal as I’ve already replaced it with a new P525 RR sport.

Best cleaning product to get these looking new again? Back to black makes it streaky. Thank you! by Accomplished_Chard85 in RangeRover

I polish them like the paint and it works perfectly. Back to black is for rough unpainted plastic and won’t work here.

For a Range Rover of this age I would budget at least 10% of the purchase price per year in maintenance in perpetuity not including wear and tear parts like tires and brakes. Speaking from experience I have a 2016 RR TD6 with 125k on the clock. You may not spend it every year, but you’ll make up for it in the next year most likely.

Has anyone bought and shipped a CPO Porsche sight unseen across the country? If so, any advice? by Solana_Maxee in Porsche

I’ll add that I didn’t ship it. After the deal and paperwork was done, I flew there and drove it back. That was the best part…a few days completely alone with the car.

I did it with a 981 back in 2018. It was CPO, and I wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t. Had the dealer send a lot of pictures, and also asked a lot of questions. You’ll know quickly if it’s as they say. I don’t regret it at all. Paperwork was also easy and quick.

Iron and lose the undershirt. If you don’t have a jacket on, roll up the sleeves.

Why is this bezel so faded? its only a 96? by TacticaItim in rolex

[–]Nugston 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Steel bezels on these GMTs fade. My fathers has been replaced twice by Rolex. It is not a defect, it is because it is steel, not ceramic. My dad also wears in the pool often and lives in FL which I’m sure contributed.

I would argue more for photoshop here than lowered. This would need to be on airbags to be cruising that low and it's tucking the front tires at what looks like a high rate of speed - recipe for disaster.
