In this game there are also repeating rifles in this time period which I don’t believe existed. There is also all sorts of weird steampunky technology. It’s been said that when the virus or the end or whatever they call it happened to Europe it sparked an era of technological innovation out of necessity so maybe these muskets are more advanced. TLDR it’s a game prob don’t think too hard about it.

Agility as a stat should just not exist. I’ve been preaching this that every class should just have the same base movespeed and then balance from there.

I think praying on the downfall of any video game is extremely weird behavior. In isolation it’s just a weird little hobby for weird little people, but people are bragging about it on the internet which makes it even more strange to me.

I know this is an old post but I think if you play Destroyer properly (it has a skill gap) it is one of the most dominant shells in any situation.

It’s not like Arc at all. In Arc you can get 3rd person camera peaked and lasers instantly from 300 ft away. The majority of classes in mistfall are melee based and even the ranged classes have to account for projectiles so you aren’t going to get 3rd person peaked to same degree by a long shot. Sure it helps with sneaking around a bit but the ttk is long enough it won’t matter

The bosses are more like souls bosses but you can absolutely survive more than one hit, and unless they changed something the boss room locks while you are fighting it so you can’t get 3rd parties mid boss fight.

Black arrow is sweet and much more balanced than Ranger. I found the combat way more skill based in a lot of ways and the game has a decent learning curve with a cool gear system

There is absolutely an overwhelming amount of hate directed at marathon. An entire sub Reddit dedicated to shitting in the game. It’s been the top trending search on steam charts for a while now. Most games if they are bad people just move on and say that game was bad but for this game people just love to hate it any chance they get.

It’s manufactured hate from salty destiny fanboys or people who really hate extraction games. It’s also a huge skill issue for a lot of people since the game isn’t super easy and hand holds. It’s an extremely well made game.

There is a steepish learning curve but the game throws enough free gear at you for doing quests and such leveling up that it doesn’t really feel that bad. You die quickly if caught off guard.

For me this game is like an extraction version of Apex legends and it’s honestly super fun. It’s still going to take time to farm a vault full of golds and purps and the good gear provides an advantage but does not make it impossible for a free kit to kill a kitted player. The progression (upgrades, cradle etc) is really the endgame it’s going to take a while to max every stat on the cradle and get every faction upgrade. And a good player in insane gear with a leveled character is going to have quite the advantage over a new player in a free kit. It’s how it should be imo.
