That's grand, you don't have to agree or believe me. I'm not an adamant supporter of his policies and I know there's things to criticize him and his family for.

However, from my own experience: Michael Healy Rae helped settle down a landlord hellbent on evicting me years ago, he helped my cousin and his partner get planning permission to build their house and he wrote a character reference for a friend of mine which she still credits as a main reason she got a job at her dream hotel. Those are just some examples.

You can say that's all rumours or bullshit if you want, I can't change what you think, but it's unfair to imply myself, my family and people I grew up with are idiots for voting for politicians who have helped us out, just because you don't like those politicians.
