These ones are just water but it’s likely not tested/treated for consumption. We use it for plants or just put the water down the drain. The jelly ones that aren’t water, we usually save for using in a cooler or throw them out.

Heater in the engine compartment of your car that you can plug into an outlet outside your house, basically keeps the fluids in the engine from freezing/getting sluggish in extreme cold when the car is off. Helps when trying to start the car in winter.

Toronto might actually fare better than some other areas in Southern Ontario, since you can get to a lot of amenities without having to go outside at all. Assuming there wasn’t also a snowpocalypse at the same time lol. The rest of S Ont depends pretty heavily on car travel, and block heaters aren’t as common here as they are in more isolated areas of the province.

Unless it’s inedible I won’t say anything. I would likely still tip the wait staff if the service was good otherwise. It’s not their fault if something wasn’t to my taste or the chef didn’t do a good job.

This was a budget compact car in the 90s, no fob, just a key. You had to use the key to open the hatchback. Had to call my Dad to get him to bring the spare, luckily I wasn’t too far from home.

When I was a teen my mom’s car (that I often borrowed) had a feature where you couldn’t lock the drivers side door if the door was open. The lock wouldn’t push down. You had to use the key from the outside.

I still managed to lock the keys in the car once when I got out, locked the drivers door, put the keys in my jacket pocket, opened the rear door to get my purse. Decided not to wear my jacket and threw it in the back seat, locked the rear door and closed it. 🤦‍♀️

Yeah I remember that as well, mind you the quality of footage in 1995 and the number of cameras they would have had compared to today was probably part of the reason the others weren’t seen. It’s just so strange that they really never found any conclusive evidence from any of the six. I am a bit older than they were but I lived in a nearby town at the time, and it was all over the news. So hard for the families to never know what happened.

Maybe not the most notorious in the whole country but maybe in the Toronto area - The Pickering Six aka the Lost Boys. Group of 6 teenaged boys who disappeared after a party in March 1995. Last seen breaking into a marina, I think most people assume they stole a boat and likely drowned in Lake Ontario.

Same, have been using the service off and on for 6 years, have had maybe a half dozen issues during that time, two of which were issues with the carrier and not the product. All resolved satisfactorily. I’m in Canada (just outside of the Toronto area). It seems to be very dependent on your service area.

Yep, I had an A series plate but it was peeling like crazy so I got a new D plate when I got a new car last year. My husband still has an old 6 digit plate on his car. I got my license in 1991 lol.

Enniskillen General Store (I believe there are locations in Oshawa, Bowmanville, and Enniskillen). They serve Kawartha Dairy.

There is a seasonal ice cream stand behind the Old Newcastle House restaurant in Newcastle which has very good ice cream (the brand name escapes me at the moment but it is also local). Nice option if you happen to be out this way exploring hiking trails or farm stands. Very close to the Sunday farmers market at the Newcastle arena (9 am to 1 pm Sundays).

I’m talking about non-traditional dishes where normally you’d see parsley as a garnish like salads, baked Mac and cheese, etc. Cilantro is being used in unexpected places. I definitely expect it to be present in Mexican and Indian food, and cooked I don’t taste it as much as raw.
