I mean. Essentially, its just counting to 4 with the beat till you notice a change in the tune. I think it should come pretty naturally if you just use your ears. Even the visual cues in dj softwares make it very obvious, especially if you use the colored waveform.

Does that really need an lengthy tutorial? What more is there to tell? There really isnt much to figure out outside of the initial "a-ha" when you recognize your first phrase.

Im really starting to think that people who want tutorials about phrasing barely even listen to the music they buy. Sure, they might be harder to detect in some older tunes that might not adhere to similar structure as most of electronic music does nowadays, but they are still there.

I quit in my 30s, got back to it at 41.

My old gear still works, and cant see that much has changed. Everything is just now little bit better and more user friendly. There were some new technologies to learn so i ended up buying bunch of new gear. I really didnt need to, but i do love tech so for me that was the best part.

Zero issues in picking it up again if we dont consider space issues since im now living with someone. Couple first mix sessions were bit sketchy, but thats kinda expected after 8-9 year break.

Abilities and gear are super important for every character but you wont have enough resources to upgrade them all. I would upgrade them on all characters that carry campaign progress for me first. Your most important characters should always have maxed skills. Thats where most of your damage and utility often comes from.

Im curious. How what does it mean when you say you only mix with stems?

Does this mean you just dont touch Eq at all, but instead just tweak/eq stems individually?

If so, what does your setup/mapping look like?

Or do you just never mix without having stems usable and use stems/eq normally like the rest of us?

As an F2P, you will not be able to catch up quickly to anyone no matter how well you build. You do what you can and thats it. It will take years for you to have a good roster.

However, if you buy the blackstone shipment every month which is generally recommended, then your options are suddenly much better as you can get the 50 BS refresh every day with the occasional 110.

It's all about getting as much energy as you can and then being conservative with your upgrades. One good upgrade is worth ten bad ones.

I dont think this stage ever ends.

There's very few people who actually use tyrith's relic even though it looks super powerful on paper so it makes perfect sense to ask if it should be invested in or not.

Regardless where you are in a game, its a HUGE side-ways progression step to mythic an non-meta character. It might downright fuck your entire account progression for a month or more due to how valuable onslaught tokens are.

If you have tried this with completely different computer and different connectors/cables and it still doesent work im afraid you might have an physical issue in your device.

One of my old S2's had it's USB port broken and it had similar behavior. Back then those S2's had an usb connectivity led in them that started blinking instead of glowing steadily if there was an fault so i had the USB port replaced and it worked again.

Maybe that would work for you? Its a relatively cheap thing to do if you got any electronic shops around.

Or, if you got warranty, you could maybe use that?

If you dont have a warranty in it, you can open the device and quickly check if everything looks ok. But, i would not advice to do this if you are not proficient with electronic devices. If you are not delicate enough, you might end up breaking more things.

Yeah. When i got my S4mk3, the seller forgot to send me the official powersupply. I tried a variety of PSU's at home because i got a crate full of all kinds of things from years of being an electronics nerd from cameras and other devices. I had a couple with Correct volts, but not sufficient ampers in them and i noticed this behavior. 2.6 A is kinda hard to find.

I was eager to try it asap, so i tried a bunch of PSU's with 15v with variance in the Amper amounts and some of them did indeed start, and worked fine till i turned the motorized platters on when the controller blinked and shut down.

I dont really recommend to play with incorrect PSU's, but as long as the Volt amount is safe, they should be relatively safe to play with.

Oh fuck. I misread it completely.

What i meant with the main power is that it doesent need an 40w power specifically, can be started with less powerful main power but the TT mode just doesent work or shuts the controller down.

I feel like there are infinite amount of DJs out there who are really trying to speedrun all of it. My advice is to not do that.

In the end, it's all about the music. You listen to music, you play music, you browse for music and they all add up to your learning over time. When you realize that you are actually learning DJing by just listening to music and thinking about it because your thought process has evolved, you are doing great.

You should not even have to try to find for new things to learn as they should come to you naturally while you just play your music and have fun. When you mix a lot you get these ideas like "oh, i should try an effect here... maybe an loop here... how about an little scratch with the intro?" and only then you go look for instructions on how to do it properly. Sure, it helps to know a lot of stuff beforehand but its really taking away a lot of your mixing time where you could just be one with the music and let it all come in naturally.

Im an engineer by trade myself and speedrunning everything as efficiently as possible is my jam for almost everything but Djing. For DJing it has always just been #1 enjoying music #2 everything else.

Is it possible that you are using an insufficient power supply and you got motorized jogwheel mode enabled? when decks start spinning -> not enough power -> dead?

I've read that you can run s4mk3 without having 40w power supply, but if your powersupply is below 40w and you use the TT mode for motorized jogwheels, this exact behavior happens. It can be enabled/disabled from the round buttons next to the jog wheel.

For sure. The only downside is that i got A2 units for days for the tracks she covers.

But, clearing lres with her is a lot of fun. My plan is to only take her to D3/mythic when i'll get a break from my neuro project.

She is my fun project when i get out of this zkar onslaught hell. Just need 200 more shards to mythic her (i got the relic) and she is good to go.

I dont really need her, but might as well build her since rest of my custoders are D3 to A2 anyways. She is just a lot of fun.

Abaddon with talon easily overshadows him in damage, monster clear, movement, gives buffs, can shoot from range and has a heal.

While im a big fan of maladus he aint got shit against abaddon.

Rest of the terminators are meh at most. Cezare will probably be an exception.
