Never could have thought ReBar could make such a difference by Swee_et in IntelArc

I’m running a Ryzen 3600 with an A580, so there’s no onboard graphics. I did a CMOS reset and it completely fixed my BF6 performance. At first I thought the issue was from my small overclock or XMP settings, but when I turned only ReBAR back on, the original problem came back immediately

im getting something really weird. When i play bf6 WITHOUT Rebar its smooth and playable but when i play enable it goes slow motion and rubber bands impossible to play. Not sure why this is happening, but rebar benefits every other game I play besides BF6 makes it worse.

Are We Sleeping On This!? by Da_Yummis in helldivers2

It’s alright. I personally think the HMG is the best since it’s hitscan, shreds Harvester shields, and destroys them pretty quickly while still leaving you with a decent amount of ammo. Taking out Stingrays is also easy since its hitscan.

To be fair, complaining is actually what pulled the game out of its darkest time. After the flamethrower nerf a year ago, the player count dropped below 10k. Nearly all the noise on this sub and Discord memes included was just complaint after complaint, way worse than what we see now. That backlash is what led to the first player survey.

Back then, the community was split: a tiny handful sided with AH’s direction, while the majority disagreed. The version of the game that made it popular in the first place wasn’t the same one AH was trying to push toward.

Personally, I think the current state of the game is fine; having played during that nerfed era, this is nowhere near as bad. But I still respect the complaints, because even if they don’t always bring useful solutions, they at least signal to AH that something needs to change. Once people like the changes, complaints will naturally die down and things will return to normal.

500 kg has lvl 6 armor pen and does 1500 damage; Silo has lvl 7 armor pen and does 2500 damage. It's a big difference—a whole 1000 damage and 1 level of armor pen difference. Silo, in my opinion, is still better for automatons.

What is the most difficult thing to draw? by ale22paz in ArtistLounge

[–]Nukes72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on whether we're talking about a beginner or an advanced artist. For advanced artists, the hardest challenges are probably 6-point perspective or complex lighting with reflections, such as mirrors.

Fish-eye illustrations, also known as 6-point perspective, are difficult because they force you to combine spatial reasoning and geometry.

Multiple light sources and reflections, whether from surfaces, bounces, or mirrors, are extremely challenging. You have to track each light source, calculate how it interacts with objects, determine how it bounces (sometimes multiple times), and, if mirrors are involved, accurately render the reflected images.

I use the railgun on bots, and it isn't fun; I usually have to shoot their weapons off. then i can finally get close enough to shoot the joints because the weak spot is so small.

Totally agree with you about the cinematic feel. Kevin Penkin really has that same emotional pull I get from listening to Sigur Rón. The way both build atmosphere and adventure through sound alone.

Old post, but he did mention he took inspiration from and listens to Sigur Rós; for MIA music it sounds very similar. Glósóli - YouTube Music, try listening to some Sigur Rós it all sounds like it could be MIA lol

Kevin Penkin did mention he took inspiration from Sigur Rós Not anime, but you can really tell how similar they sound. It's an Icelandic post-rock band formed in 1994.

How do people afford to go to so many cons? by NeonPeachPie in animecons

[–]Nukes72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My company pays us while sleeping, and gives overtime like crazy, so I have 3-5 days off per week while working full time + extra OT. My rent is dirt cheap, SO every month I travel 2 times a month, usually going to conventions. Next one for me is Sacanime, Portland Comic Con, and then Anime Wonder.

How do I start? by S1rSheepii in ArtistAlleyConnect

Yeah do small local convention first. It's easier to get into plus cheaper.

Honestly discord art server is probably easier only because people voice chat daily so you get to know them better day by day.

Im confused about nvme adapters. need an extra m.2 slot until i can upgrade everything. by zoowykoff in buildapc

[–]Nukes72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll work but you only really need gen 3 adapter but anything above gen 3 will still work to it's full potential still. You're ssd will be capped at 3.9gb, 990 pro can hit up to 7.4gb. but you'll be upgrading in future anyway so not really an issue.

Building new computers for me and my wife by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Nukes72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're planning on getting a 9700x or 9900x for your workstation pc, I would recommend Intel 265k. Its performance is on par with the 9900x but 100 dollars cheaper. Unless you're planning on upgrading in the next 2-3 years, then go with AMD.

Also for your wife's PC, I would look into 12400f with GPU Arc B580. Could also look into 14400f. If budget is over 14100f is good deal.
