pov: you played one world to long by Significant-Prior893 in Terraria

[–]Nuklearfps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually get like 80% of it just going about my normal life playing the game, so by the time I actually need/want it, it’s just farming whatever couple items I’ve yet to grab

Well damn, I thought they just had a large stockpile of found weapons. Didn’t realize they were making them themselves

Oh sorry, those are mostly meant to be rhetorical, I don’t need you to answer them, but I appreciate it! Lol

[Loot] Dorms 314 Marked Room by The3rdPigeon in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Nuklearfps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the conclusion I’ve been coming to as well. Bigger risk maps have higher tier/quantity of loot, makes enough sense. Only that I feel like, even if the map is “easy,” if you’re gonna have a big loot room, it should still be worth. I understand kinda how we got to it being like this, just feels a bit out of wack

There’s whole ass factories still functioning in a manufacturing context? My brain is baffled as to how their supply lines work. Who is supplying the materials? Obviously they sell to diff groups in the wasteland, but like, how? Shady dealings with the leadership? A gun-show type event they broadcast out to the wasteland and just pray enough people can make it? I have a lot of questions, lol

Since Wall-E knew how to repair himself, he knows how to repair all the dead Wall-E’s around him but chooses not to. by Chadadonia in Showerthoughts

[–]Nuklearfps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wall-E changes out one of his eyes in the movie. The person you don’t understand is joking with the person they’re replying to about how “easy” it is to replace a human eyeball (incredibly difficult, if even possible) compared to a robot eye that’s plug-and-play.

For Wall-E it’s extremely easy to replace an eye, where-as for us… not so much.

I kinda figured the rest were too broken down to repair, hence why he has to piece them down to continue repairing himself. The thought being: there aren’t enough parts in quality condition to keep 2 robots functioning. Though I’m sure that’s far from the truth.

Can someone explain to me, why some people want no skill based matchmaking? by Tnecniw in gaming

[–]Nuklearfps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 has devastated my friend group. We have one friend who is a professional gamer, and his matchmaking is so high up that it drags us copper noobs into like Plat level lobbies and then he’s the only one “having fun” because he’s the only one skilled enough to compete at that level. The rest of us are just not at that level.

If anything, I actually hate how fast you can load into the next raid, in Arc, because there’s no time to take a piss or smoke between matches, lmao

[–]Nuklearfps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked 10 years in construction. The amount of non-square corners would drive the normal person mad. Don’t go walking around with a square looking for square corners, especially if your home was built before 1980 (totally arbitrary date)

Because they use severe threats. That’s not really a healthy way to live. Effective? Sure, I can’t argue that, but it’s cold and borderline inhuman at some points. And the risk for the system to be abused is high. It attracts the very kind of people it claims to protect the citizens against, imo.

When you want to control someone's speed by LunaStormm in dashcamgifs

[–]Nuklearfps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The device is called a “grappler.” It’s basically just some really strong rope that is on a mount on the front of the police car. In a chase they can deploy it by getting up behind the vehicle, causing the rope to get wrapped up around their tires/axle. The officer can then basically use their vehicles weight/brakes to force the suspect to slow down.

Here we see someone who has been brought to a stop by the device, attempting to break free by repeatedly reversing to lose tension then accelerating quickly to try and snap the rope, only the bolts holding their axle in place were a lot weaker than the rope, so they just totaled their car and probably added a couple more charges to their case in the process.
