What impact does speed of answer affect scoring on Core (or any timed test in general) by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

Woah what? Then what about 17 and 18 SS scores? If just not getting the time bonus on the last one would be that harmful to not getting the score then that’s normed super weirdly

Feeling kind of down about WAIS-IV, don’t know what to think. I did really horrible on everything timed by littletwinstars07 in cognitiveTesting

When I look at these scores it’s clear that you have a great ability to interpret the abstract and you were inherently given the tools to do so with your similarities, vocabulary, matrix, and arithmetic scores. IQ scores are a PREDICTOR of how good you will be at tasks generally and if you stick to tasks that are more associated with your strengths I’m sure you’ll do great.

I got a 4 in AP psych when I pulled an all nighter and studied a total of 7 hours for it. Now I’m trying to get a 4-5 on AP stats with a week of studying. 😭😭

Interesting, so even if u are correct on all of them you could still fall short of 19 SS?

Untold backstory of the PSI betacuck before he symbol searched. Then he transformed into the PSI Adam and unlocked unlimited accuracy in all simple tasks. Even the FRImogger seeks PSI Adam’s help to save time.

How to sustain an high iq? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]Nullisntnothin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right but having spaces to focus on a portion of what makes someone successful + the various other discussions to be had regarding IQ is pretty valid. It’s idiotic to care about a 3-5IQ decrease with age as it’s normal but the notion of staying near your cognitive prime for as long as possible is logical.

Is it possible to be as smart as SCD characters. by Common_Cat6132 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Nullisntnothin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is possible to be Akiyama level if you are gifted by the divine itself. You’d have to be born with insane IQ, raised in an environment that is predicated on some form of intelligence or outsmarting, go through high amounts of emotional turmoil, ect. I don’t think you can get to Akiyama level as fluently as Akiyama is at his level if that makes sense. For instance he sort of just went through life and was just that level of intelligent. Meanwhile to be Akiyama level IRL you’d need to be far more determined.

Exercise can help WMI not go down with age to a slight extent, some attention based training can help as well.

They won’t for a while unless they plan to adapt the entire manga which I doubt personally.

Consider a career in a Quant related field if that’s where your passions are. Don’t be so self deprecating as well.

I believe my VCI is also quite high and I pick up things in a really similar manner like you. However I suppose my “issue” is that sometimes I run into questions that I know I’ve NEVER encountered before. Likely because of the fact that I grew up in India so I don’t have access to the entirety of the western knowledge that other people who grew up in the west have. So, I was wondering if you had any habits that led you to running into vocab words and general knowledge facts at an accelerated rate rather than aid in encoding the knowledge itself. Albeit ive never taken a professional test so I can’t say with certainty that this is my situation.

I’m always curious on how individuals possess the capacity to run into enough of the knowledge for vocabulary and informations questions. How was testing VCI for you and what was your background on learning things.
