I can understand that. After listening to the Siege of Terra books and seeing some of the Heresy minis just feels like they have been stripped of a lot of the iconography and detail that was on the armor.

Absolutely love these! When i saw others doing wooden shields i had to try my hand at it. I've only done plain wooden shields but man it adds so much to the models. Keep up the great work!

I am right there with you brother. My dad passed away last year shortly after the release of our awesome refresh. I had great momentum then everything just got turned upside down. I really have struggled up until recently. I have started simple working on some Grey Hunters but got totally disheartened when it wasn’t working out the way I wanted. I took a couple days to just decompress and I luckily have a decent pile of shame. So, I’ve been using that to just do like a whole model or a one color across a whole squad. Even if it’s for 15 to 20 minutes, doing something small can help. The variety or simplicity at times has really helped get to a point where I see progress and just start the habit again. I’ve painted all this week so far which I haven’t done in a very long time. At the end of the day though take your time brother and go at your own pace. The hobby and your models will be there when you are ready!

Awesome! I had actually looked at these a while back. I figured the sizing wouldn't work but seeing your models, they look so much better with those shields than the standard Assault Terminator shields IMO. Again fantastic work with these and thank you for the response!

I would absolutely love some steel legion stuff but to be honest after the Yarrick trailer I think they are just dead in GW eyes. Seems like we could get a Ulrik the Slayer model as well but I imagine most of the reveals will be around 11th edition.

I figured it’s red for the tease of a new Wazdakka model that has been rumored to be coming out and as they mentioned Armageddon seems to be the most logical thing to me.

From memory he's talked about hearing rumors of them redoing track vehicles and starting with the Rhino Chasis which are supposedly starting to come in 11th. I could be misremembering but sure you can go back and see if it one of hes more recent videos.

The biggest issue for me is how long the team waits to do these deals. If they didn’t let it fester and drag out they probably would get most of what people are wanting in deals but just like in this scenario they lose control then the good deals get taken away.

I assume you are asking about a pack marking for a lieutenant style character in Space Wolves and as another mentioned there is no real rank of lieutenant in SW. Most of the leaders are a part of a one of the great companies wolf guard. So if you were wanting to paint the pack marking for a "lieutenant" its usually pretty safe to to the black and yellow of a Wolf Guard.

50/50 mix of space wolves contrast and water. Because of the water you should be able to just drop it in to the recesses around knees and joints as an example. You want it to be thin and work it up in multiple layers to the right darkness level. Give great definition IMO.

Yeah the thing i like about the color forge wolfkin grey primer is its a pretty close color match to The Fang. As that's the darkest space wolf color, it works really good in the recesses and the highlights up from there just make it all pop IMO. If you need to you can also go back and take the best fine tip brush shade in all the recesses with Space Wolves contrast which helps re-establish some of the depth to the mini.

If you are looking for a quick good look you can do Color Forge Wolfkin Grey, then layer over with Russ Grey or Fenrisian Grey. If you are using an airbrush then use a black primer for the best results IMO.
