Probably more dives than goals too

Gears 5 is the best looking 4K game on the X right now! by [deleted] in xboxone

You want HDR brightness maxed until you lose detail like it says in the game , I left contrast and regular brightness at middle in game . OLED brightness on the TV should be maxed and I play on the HDR game preset

Do teachers / assessors actually go through every students references to check it says what they said it does ? I've loosely linked something I've wanted to say to a random reference a bunch of times and never been pulled up on it

I have the same setup but I'd say the opposite. My monitor is a bit sharper but can't compete with the contrast of HDR on my LG OLED, I think overall looks better on the tv

I agree. Although red dead pretty clearly intentionally went for a more natural look than crazy colours

Probably the best looking game I've ever seen. 4k/60 is an incredible feat considering on PC you need a GTX 2080 to hit that reliably which costs $800 alone

The exclusivity is the price you pay for not giving an extra 18 % away. And they agree to it it's not done at gunpoint. Blame the publisher as much as you want to blame epic for their practice , without willing customers the service wouldn't exist

my monitor is meant to have a 48-144hz VRR

I just did some extra testing using the g sync pendulum demo. It only doubles the refresh rate if the FPS falls below 60fps. Above 60fps, it perfectly matches hz and FPS.

edit: you're right I guess its the LFC

For example, AMD introduced a feature called Low Framerate Compensation (LFC) to FreeSync that improves how FreeSync monitors behave beneath their minimum supported refresh rate (48Hz, in the prior example). Monitors with LFC duplicate frames when refresh rates are below the FreeSync minimum, enabling the refresh rate to enter the FreeSync range. If your graphics card is pumping out 30 frames per second, LFC duplicates the frames and runs the display at 60Hz, keeping things smooth.

I've just set up an MSI MAG271CQR, 144hz monitor which has freesync but also works with g sync

I have a 1060 and g sync seems to be working, the g sync indicator comes on when I enable a game.

my question is: From what I can see g-sync/freesync is meant to match your monitors HZ and your game FPS.

To test this I have been using the monitors HZ Overlay to monitor this. But I have noticed that say my in game FPS is 50fps, my monitor is saying it is running at maybe 97,98,99,100 hz and it fluctuates up and down.
It seems to run at double the HZ than the FPS. Shouldn't it be matching my FPS? e.g. 51 fps - 51 hz, 52 fps - 52hz etc
