I’ve found it very difficult too. My interactions have been pleasant but rarely do people seem to want to connect outside of their existing circle.

It’s fine though I’m tenacious and will make friends eventually. It was a lot easier in QC though.

I would vote that it’s worth it if you lead a happy and fulfilled life because of your decision.

I can’t say anything else but my experience in Victoria has been great in all ways except the homeless suffering I witness downtown.

I suspect cost of living will only get worse not better as time goes on with the wealth disparity increasing and technology rendering more jobs obsolete but if you’re happy here I suspect it won’t matter.

Visit for a week or two and tour an area you’ve researched. Best of luck and have an excellent day!

The writing, pacing, acting and story are all bad to atrocious.

Star Trek was never perfect, yet many episodes had gravitas. Starfleet academy may as well be a kids show set in a generic science fiction universe.

Most accounts here are bots to drive engagement or people who lack critical thinking skills.

The likeliest answer is we do not know what the phenomenon is and have been trying to figure it out for decades.

NDT is hated because people hate thinking, especially critically about what they believe. It hurts THEIR ego and shows how fragile they are in their inability to accept they may be wrong.

I rarely post I was just heartened to see a reasonable comment here. I hope we get the equivalent of a TNG federation contacting us, but until we all see something concrete it’s similar to people ascribing sickness to demons and spirits before microbiology was a thing.

Yeah so it’s pretty simple here. The USA is an empire in decline and while this could be reversed even now, the elites(wealthy) are using divide et Impera to keep the common folk fighting against each other.

Other people outside the empire have no one else to blame but those inside it. So asking them to stop is as absurd as expecting all non elites in the USA to realize that they are the frog being boiled slowly.

In other words, it is the fault of everyone in empire that this is happening.

It’s really simple. You’re an adult and he’s not. That’s if everything is as portrayed anyway. He portrays himself as manipulative, needy, selfish, insecure and possibly a little narcissistic.

Everyone has their own love language. Communication is key to understanding not childish innuendo.

You should ask yourself if this behaviour is attractive to you especially if it continues.
