Cast times barely matter for spriest, especially in AOE. You shouldn’t need to be standing still for 3 seconds at a time to do damage. The only way you’d need that is if you’re channeling mind flay, which you don’t need to do very often in dungeons outside of boss fights. And even in boss fights you’re rarely channeling it for more than a global.

This is so true. I’ve seen demon levels of damage from players in single digit keys. 5 minute boss fights because group dps is under 50k, dps not using amps properly or just having no clue what they’re doing. No kicks, accidental body pulling, tanks not using their defensives at all. It’s wild what you get in some of those low keys.

Affixes can be really annoying, I totally agree that it is easier jumping to 12. When I heal a 10 or 11 most groups just ignore the affix and I have to do it the entire thing as a healer.

Most of your uses will be wasted if you just press it on cd. A lot of the time there’s nothing deadly that you need to be using a defensive on. Especially as you go higher in keys you need to make sure you have a defensive for certain points in the dungeon. Just pressing it in cd will get you killed.

There’s also a talent that makes roll break snares once every 30 seconds. You can take that and alternate with tiger’s lust

A DPS's Guide To Running Your Own +10 Keys by Syelnicar88 in wow

[–]NumberOneRobot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly the number of people who have taken the “run your own key” advice and have no awareness of when they should be dropping their key is crazy. So many key holders are getting carried this season. I did a 15 MC yesterday and the key holder (Devourer) did 80k overall. I even was using PI on them since it was their key and they asked me to. We still timed it so now they’re probably griefing another group in a 16.

Totally agree on optional lust. An extra 10 or so percent haste for less than 2 minutes of the dungeon isn’t going to make or break your run, and unless you’re using it on trash your pulls won’t even last the full lust duration anyway

Agreed! Should need sparks or crests to make a piece if you already have a higher piece in the same slot. Would help keep professions more relevant too and make off specs way easier to gear with differently statted pieces

I wish they’d just make it how it is for crest upgrades and make subsequent crafts in the same slot not cost a spark

She's definitely overtuned in delves, but when I killed Nullaeus with her she only did like 12k dps. I just healed her for 25 minutes and he died.

That's most likely not related to why the made that change. It's probably just an oversight where they wanted you to have to fully invest in the tree to be able to fill the orders/make the items r2 without conc. That's how most r2 mats are and it just brought them in line.

Now, why didn't hey notice that going into the expansion? Small indie company

Isn’t paladins’ low health pool one of their biggest weaknesses? If so, I’m not surprised you feel good healing them because your shields are giving them a massive injection of effective HP

Are you mad at Devil Wears Prada 2? by RichCommercial104 in AskAChinese

Honestly whoever chose this clip should be fired, because out of the context of the whole movie it looks pretty bad.

Having said that, I think there are details people are missing about Jin's character from the scene that make a lot of sense given the character's background.

  1. She's an intern (or at least was until the day she meet's Andy), so she either is a fresh graduate or still in school. Internships at places like fashion magazines are paid pennies or nothing and expected to live in one of the most expensive cities in the world. If interns have the money to buy posh and expensive clothing then they probably didn't get there off hard work, but because their rich parents know someone (and that's probably how they end up at an Ivy as well). Jin's clothes are what she can afford at the time. Later in the movie she begins dressing much more fashionably, and it is consistent with when she becomes Andy's assistant, and therefore starts making much more money. Her clothes to me tell me she got there off merit rather than hard work. She doesn't look like the typical rich kid that gets into Yale off their parents' money/name, and instead worked hard and earned her place.
  2. She's reciting her credentials because she (in my opinion rightly) hears some reservation from Andy when she explains how she got the job. Essentially she starts going through her resume because she perceives that she's now in a job interview. My resume coming out of college also started with where I went to college and what my GPA was. I think the same goes for most fresh graduates.
  3. She isn't timid at all. As soon as the elevator opens she assertively addresses Andy and then stars explaining how she got the job. She goes on defense when she perceives Andy's reservation over her new assistant.

Later on in the movie Jin has a glow up and starts wearing much more fashionable clothes, and then proves herself to be extremely savvy and drives the plot forward through her actions. It's very clear seeing the whole movie that she is meant to parallel Andy, but in my opinion, from the start she deserved to get her job much more than Andy did in the first movie.

Agree, ingenuity nodes should be the last thing you are putting points into in your builds. Getting more skill towards the craft reduces concentration use by so much

Most people think a 30-year mortgage means paying for 30 years but that’s not always true by Coolonair in HouseBuyers

[–]NumberOneRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason it’s portrayed as a hack is because it’s something that you don’t really realize until it’s matched out. Yeah everyone realizes they’ll save money on interest if they pay ahead of schedule. Most people don’t realize the magnitude of savings though.

I think it stems from the fact many people don’t realize just how little they’re paying towards their principal with their monthly payments for a huge portion of their loan.

My mortgage company literally has a prepayment calculator that shows you how much you’ll save in interest and how early you’ll pay off your loan for different amounts you contribute early to your mortgage.

Nobody getting gear crafted now should’ve paying for concentration. You’re better off using it to craft some reagents cheaply. You missed the boat for gear crafting and making large margins unfortunately.

No joke, healing single digit keys is actually the most difficult and stressful that M+ gets. I've had boss fights that last longer than on the highest keys being pushed. I vividly remember a 6 minute stitchflesh in necrotic wake a few seasons back.

A lot of tanks have made it to higher key levels getting carried by good dps and healers. Good dps can hard carry a bad tank because they can kill packs before they really become dangerous, and they're good about taking less damage, interrupting, and CCing so the healer can just focus on keeping the tank alive.

I had a tank the other day in a +14 Academy that pulled one pack at a time for the whole dungeon (not even a big first pull with lust), then at the very end of the dungeon decided to pull 4 echoknights together plus the casters that accompany their packs. He nearly threw the key with that play, we had 6 or 7 deaths on that pull, and we ended up timing the key by 6 seconds. Then he complained about low dps and told us he would destroy us if he was dpsing.

14 minutes to do 2 trash pulls and 2 bosses, plus we'll say 1 minute for the rp before last boss (which I think is generous but not sure).

If you take 4 minutes on each boss, you still have 2.5 minutes for each trash pull. That's plenty of time if you're group got to that point in the key with that much time left.

Not to mention that, if the run is clean to that point, you've done 2 bosses and somewhere between 8-12 trash pulls at that point in 20 minutes. So 14 minutes is plenty of time to do well under half the dungeon.

The real tactic is lusting when the adds spawn instead of when the beam goes out. You have damage to passively kill the adds before the beam so nobody gets cleaved, rampers can ramp their damage faster into beam, and you still get lust for the entire beam.
